We had rented a property from this company Shirley Foster being the renting agent. We had encountered several problems with this agency and person during the renting period both on a personal and professional level. We were blamed for moist appearing on the property walls (which occurred naturally when the building heating system was not turned on during freezing temperatures), there were attempts to increase rental costs after it has already been agreed and prior to signing the contract, and there were irregularities during the end of tenancy. In addition, this agent did not provide us information regarding in which protection scheme our deposit was registered until three months after the end of tenancy, on the grounds that "this information has been provided to you before" (3 years earlier) . As a result, the protection scheme is already unable to help us to resolve a dispute. The agent did not provide this information in a timely manner despite being asked about it directly five times. Please note that this agency and agent are not registered with the The National Federation of Property Professionals or a registered agent of The Property Ombudsman. We have yet to discover where and if this agent and company are registered as a professional member and they did not provide this information on request. This will make things more difficult for you when having problems with them. We recommend avoiding using this agency and person!
