WMV Match.com Fraudulent charge activity internet, Texas
8th of Mar, 2013 by User517646
Contacted early one morning by bank fraudulent claim dept. A myriad of charges were listed and verified, but sometime in the very early hours a charge to my account for $34.99 to WMV*match.com 800-326-5161 TX. Apparently this is not a new scam and while calling the number, they are "closed" or outside business hours and refer you to a web sight. My family has never dealt with match.com (no kids). I am able to verify no contact or query has originated from our mobile of home internet activity and computer logs. (I am a systems engineer). Fortunately the bank immediately credited the amount, which is inconsequential to having to get a new card and redo the cyber-admin task of repairing all and any accounts to remove the old card and enter the new cards, PLUS changing the myriad of passwords and codes again. In all probability, they are probably hacking into small business databases to get the info. I did purchase one item from an auto part store the night before, but its not worth $34.99 of my time to chase the rabbit down the hole and is more suitable as a collaborated federal effort.
