Ameribanc Telemarketing Job not so REAL of a job. It is a total RIP. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
20th of Mar, 2011 by User983013
Ok so I got a job at Ameribanc National just walking the streets looking for a job. My husband and I are having a hard time and the job in the interview sounded like a real easy winner when the guy (manager of the call center) explained it to me. We went in on the nest Tuesday for orientation which took maybe and hour at most. Not to mention that we were supposed to be there at 10:30 am and he did not show up until almost 11:15 to start the class. We got to listen to people after the very short orientation and no real teaching on how to do this job. The people they stuck us with have had been at this job over a year and could get up to 6 appointments a day. Great. There is only like two that can do that out of the 23 they have .. well had in that call center when we were hired on. They expected new people within the first week to be able to make four phone appointments in a day. With no form of teaching what to say or anything. You had to figure out what to say. They walk the call center and harass you to get the appointments and try to make you feel like your not doing anything on the phone and when someone does get an appointment they applaud and make noise in the back ground. Which makes if harder for you to even hear the person you are trying to make and appointment with. This job is not for anyone and they will hire anyone and tell them that they can do the job. Which is not true. They have high expectations and if you do not meat them then you will get the can. I am sure that after letting go more than half of the new people they hired over a week ago they would have figured it out but I am sure they will not change anything that they are doing because they seem to think that they can just let people go when this risky job is really already the last choice for most of the people there. After being their exactly one week a lady who was the big boss came in and let me go in front of the whole call center because I could not make four appointments in one day. Now to this day It has been one week from being fired and two from starting this job. I have received no paycheck from them. I know that in Oklahoma you can ask for you paycheck on the spot after being fired. SO I am wondering if I am going to not only lose my home because they have not paid me. What a place to be in.

well I have similar experience. I didn't get my last paycheck from them until a month after the walk out. I have to go to a real credit card and debit card processing agency. now I know for a fact that I can go back to that job and make the calls... but with knowledge comes worry that what I'm saying to these people actually true. because the truth is every processing company cannot come out and say I'm going to give you 1.2 percent. if you are a business that is barely surviving you're not going to even be messed with you're dead to them because there is no profit. so they have to see how much you make to give you a good deal for both the business and the processing company. working there is easy money but they do put too much stress on people.
