After about a week, I'd received no word, so I tried contacting Ancient Honor Swords. After several emails that week, I did a search for the address listed with the Raleigh, NC BBB and found that the owner (who operates this company out of his apartment) had been arrested on a number of charges.

At about the time I'd given up on receiving the merchandise that I had paid for, the company owner, Lee Witham, sent out mass emails saying that he'd been in a car accident and had just been released from the hospital. It honestly did not matter to me that Raleigh court documents suggested a somewhat less innocent reason for his absence - I simply hoped it meant that I would get the swords I had ordered as a gift for my husband.

I responded to this email wishing Mr. Witham a speedy recovery (or court date) and asked for information about how long it might be before the items shipped. If it would be some time, I requested a refund of my money so that I might order the swords from another supplier.

I have received no other correspondence as of January 20, 2011 and can only assume that Lee Witham and Ancient Honor Swords plans to pocket my money to cover court costs and will not be shipping the items I purchased. Beware of Ancient Honor Swords - this company is anything but honorable.
