Belisi Fraudelent business practices! They charge you for products without customer confirmation! Jupiter, Florida
12th of Jul, 2011 by User181624
This company uses deceptive business practices and tries very hard to trick customers in purchasing products that they do not want. On I recently wanted to trial a Tushy Tightening Cream that was offered to me through an internet survey deal. I received no trial product or any confirmations of any trial product being sent within the trial period and then was charged the full price of the cream and was put on some automatic renewal program. When I tried to order the trial sample on 6/10/11, I received a message on screen that said something like "waiting confirmation of address"... I never received an email confirmation that the trial order was received or confirmed from the company. Never received any confirmation on the computer screen from the company that the order was received. 19 days later on 6/29/11, I receive a shipment confirmation and was charged $80. on 6/30/11, I was told I could not get a refund for the $80 for the cream since it was outside of the 15 day trial period. What trial period? The trial product was shipped at the very same time as the full product 4 days after the supposed trial period for cancellation had ended! If the trial period is 15 days and I receive no product in that time period or any confirmation of anything, what am I actually trialing? Plus, how can I cancel when I haven't received any information from the company that I have ordered anything? And how can I try something in 15 days when I haven't even received a product? As for the automatic renewal, it took me 3 different conversations and several emails to figure out how to cancel my automatic subscription. The process was the most cumbersome cancellation process I have ever encountered which I believe is purposeful. Customers are not able to cancel by talking to a representative, they are not able to cancel online or via email, they must print out some form (which is unaccessible to most computers due to improper security certificates) at a public library and mail it back in. You cannot fax or email it back. In order to get the cancellation form, you must go to their website and find their phone number to call them to figure it out. ONce you call them, you must 1) wait for an email with return instructions be sent to you with special member id codes 2) login to their system with convulted return instructions - it took another phone call just to figure out how to follow these instructions. You are supposed to know as a customer to put in your special member id into the field that says email address. This is not stated anywhere in the instructions so you are forced to have to go out of your way again to call the company.3)Once you login, you have to print out a form and click on a link which lacks proper security certificates and therefore is not able to be opened from most computers.4) Mail the completed form back to the company. When I called the company on 7/6/11 with problems accessing the forms required to be printed for cancellation (because they lacked the proper security certificates), I was told to go to a public library. They could not email me the cancellation forms. There was absolutely no other option to cancel this subscription. What kind of company requires their customers to go to a public library in order to try and cancel an order? These are definitely deceptive business practices. They purposely do not send you any information on how to contact the company within the specified trial window and purposely tell you that you are waiting confirmation so that you never know what happened. Meanwhile, they have your credit card information so that they can charge you without your knowledge. They do not send any trial products during the trial window. And then they purposely make it so difficult for any customer to cancel the automatic charges. To go to a public library in order to print out what I need to cancel is unheard of! This company needs to be reported!
