Avoid Commerce Payment systems credit card processing services. If you go to their website, you will see their marketing claims of lowest rates on the internet, fast customer service, and no hidden fees. If you request information from them, you will be in touch with one of their front line sales people. Be aware, they will say anything to get you to sign up but in the in they are all complete lies. I have been in business now for 9 years and I currently use the CostCo credit card processing services. Overall pretty happy with them except I thought I was paying some high rates. I contacted Commerce Payment systems because of their internet advertisements of lowest rates on the internet,and free equipment. I sent in 3 months of my credit card transactions and they got back to me and said they could save me about 40% in credit card transaction fees. This was great I thought so I signed up with them. Well, immediately they started charging me fees and fees and more fees. The free credit card machine - you have to pay $99 per year for insurance. No one told me this and it was not in the contract. I processed about 1 months worth of credit card transactions and they charged me about 5% in rates and fees. This was over twice of what I was paying with my previous. Why would they tell me they could save me money when they charged me double??? Anyway, I have cancelled my contract with them and am sorry I ever did business with them and you should avoid them at all costs.

This company has just about the worst customer service I have ever seen. They pulled over $300 out of my account two weeks before I had a working terminal. It took over a month and 14 phone calls to get the money back in my account. They sent me the wrong terminal and programmed it incorrectly. My merchant account had two bank account set up to it and they have yet been able to deposit the money into the correct account. They told me the fees would be taken out at the end of the month and every transaction has had the fees taken out at the time of the transaction. Overall, I can't beleive this company is still in business but if I were you, avoid at all costs!!!
