decor furniture & mattress showplace wont honor their 1 year warranty and my couch is falling apart after 8 months Richmond, Virginia

On 10/23/11 I purchased a $949.00 wraparound leather sofa. In July the same year I noticed cracks splitting in the leather. I took pictures and promply called Decor to see what I should do. I spoke with a James Jones who at the time was still employed by Decor. Within a couple days he came to see the splitting for himself and concurred that it should not be happening. The next day James spoke with me on the phone and told me that after speaking with the owner ( Brent Samuel) they agreed that they would get it fixed or a new couch. Here it is now 3 months later and decor has totally renigged on their credit for the bad couch and want me to pay $550.00 for a replacment couch. What really makes me mad though is that James wrote on the back of a Decor business card, so there was no misunderstanding, that we could get credit for the cost of the bad couch and the owner Brent is now saying nope. James Jones is no longer employed by Decor and my couch is falling apart still under the year warranty for manufacture and store.
