Final Destination Van Lines, Inc. Moving Fraud, Deceptive Business Practices, Consumer Fraud, Fraud Against a Federal Agency, Misrepresentation of Af

We just had our whole life auctioned away by Final Destination Van Lines, in Lewisville Texas. The owner is Jamie York. Our complaint is centered on our property being held hostage by a mover, Final Destination Van Lines, Inc. Our original service order quoted $3,490. After loading our property onto 2 plain white, unmarked trucks, the movers demanded an additional amount of $4,622, to total $8,112, before making delivery. Our initial down payment was $2,800. The USDOT/FMCSA has revoked their license, and their insurance has all been cancelled. Despite several warnings as far back as September 2010 by Special Agents of the FMCSA against any action by Final Destination to dispose of our property, they sold our property by auction on May 31, 2011. My wife and I have 5 children, have been married for 18 years, and our entire life's accumulation has been stolen and sold off by these thieves. We can never restore property that cannot be replaced, such as baptismal artifacts including locks of baby's hair, photo albums and things saved for over 40 years, and a 1913 oak dining table built in our family. We had everything from family paintings to well over $30,000 worth of woodworking and automotive tools, custom built furniture, large and small appliances, a large DVD collection and home electronics including entertainment, office and computer related, all paid for at retail. Papers included all of our children's school achievement awards and even their social security cards. All of our possessions including each of the children's bedrooms full of belongings were taken by Final Destination and Sold at Auction. We are utterly devastated. They sold at auction our family’s lifetime accumulations, including all of our personal information for $3,700, Final Destination’s movers actually used the same 2 trucks described in the Ripoff Report entitled Final Destination Van Lines My Family's Moving Nightmare Flower Mound, Texas. Apparently their move took place in April 2010, as did ours. Why this was not prevented by the USDOT/FMCSA during an active investigation by two Special Agents, even after citations and warnings against disposal of our family’s belongings, is still an unanswered question.
