Florida Energy Water
Florida Energy Water & Air (Rainsoft) Discovery Marketing Scam! Misrepresentations and scare tactics! Altimonte Springs, Florida
10th of Jan, 2011 by User394856
If you ever get a call from a company claiming to be from Home Depot offering a water test for your home, hang up immediately! Florida Energy Water & Air (aka Rainsoft) calls homeowners to set up a no obligation free water test. They intend on selling you a water softner and air purifier for $8000 which by the way costs them less than $600, h**l of a mark up!

They will use simple water tests to convince you that your water is terrible and a health risk. The first test is what they call a 'Precipitation test'. This test is conducted using a sample of water straight from your tap and a 2nd sample of your tap water after being passed thru the miniature Rainsoft conditioner. They will add 2 chemicals to each sample that will coat what they call impurities in the waterand make them settle to the bottom of the jar.

These so-called impurities that you are seeing in the jar is nothing more than calcium. The salesperson will try to tell you that what you are seeing is a host of dangerous chemicals such as arsenic, cyanide, chromium etc... This is not true, dont believe it!

The next thing they do is try to scare you that the chlorine in the water will give you cancer! They will show you quotes from news agencies but will not validate these quotes from medical sources such as JAMA. Scare tactic!

The salesperson will also try to show you how much money you are wasting fighting your current dangerous water conditions. This is done to close you on a monthly payment. Use common sense here people.

The bottom line is you can get soft water by purchasing a water softner for around $300 at any local home improvement store instead of being ripped off thousands of dollars by this fraudulant company.

Don't believe me they're trying to rip you off? Sign the contract for $8000 and cancel the next day. They will try to resell the same piece of equipment to you as low as $1000! What does that tell you?

They called me on 8/2/2011 from phone number 321-559-4101. They asked if anybody brought my Home Depot gift certificate yet. Said they would bring it over and then tried to set up an appointment to test my water. Pretty slick scam artisit. I almost fell for it until I asked if they are part of home Depot. I said no thanks and hung up.

They scammed my mother who is 77 this month and would not take the system out. It does not even work. They promised they would re-imburse her and did not and now she has the credit card with $6000 on it with 17.99% interest. They are liars. She has Counyt Water and does not even need it, but again it did not work from day one.
We have an Attorney involved now. I am also calling the newspaper...

I am having the same problem it doesnt work and now they said I need another tank, I told them I want it out and the 1st thing they said is I will have to put you in contact with our legal department. I said if thats what you have to do lets do it. They said talk it over with my wife and call the next day, so tomorrow I am telling them come get it ASAP and if they dont take it out I will. Please email me @ tony@stopillegaltrucking .com and let me know how you made out.

wow these comments are pretty ridiculous and I can tell no one here has done any research. Rainsoft is the only company in there feild that actually give you things like a life time warranty. They have all the top certifications in the field. and unlike your $300 water softner they are not adding 300ml of salt per liter to the water coming in your home. There systems are clinically salt free. I think your 77 year old grandma is lucky to have a top of the line unit and not some crap softner adding salt to her diet. Two other things to keep in mind. They really are associated with home depot and the BBB just doesnt give away A+ ratings. I guess its a good thing to only see two people on this page complaining considering the companies installs about 7 systems a day 365 days a year so two in 2500 isnt so bad been in business for 24 years so u do the math. truth is quality costs i know from experience that if you can find a system that removes more then a rainsoft has a no longer warranty and is cheaper you keep the rainsoft for free or the reimburse your money so keep doing ur research instead of blogging... the iso certification they carry requires they maintain a 99.7 customer satisfaction rating. Rainsoft is without a doubt the most expense system you will ever find but quality has a price. keep buying inferior equipment with no waaranties and youll keep having something to blog about
