It Works Marketing It Works Body Wraps Scam - Beware of doing business with this company! grand rapids, Michigan

I bought some of these wraps and found that they did not work for me. So, I decided to sell them off on Ebay knowig that they do work for some people. I could not end my loyal customer membership without it costing me a ton of money, so the only way I can make my money back is by selling them. Well, I have been sent threatening message after threatening message from It Works. On Ebay they call themselves - Itworkscompliance. They tell you it is against their "policy" to sell their products on Ebay. Well, I never signed a contract with this company. So I am not obligated to adhere to any such policy! I let them know this, and have still been continuously harassed and bullied by this company. They will try to intimidate you. They will fraudulently report you to Ebay for supposedly using their pictures. Even if you tell them you have used your own pictures and can prove it, they will not leave you alone. You see, they know you are not violating anything. But, they will do anything to stop people from selling their product on Ebay including fraudulent reports to Ebays VERO program. I spoke to Ebay, and was told I could continue to sell the product as long as I could prove the pictures were mine. I also reported It Works (Itworkscompliance) to Ebay for abusing the VERO program. I am still receiving harassing messages from them. I even received them when I didn't even have any It Works! products listed! They want people to sign up for the Loyal Customer program, so they can get your credit card information, and Auto-Bill you every month. If you can go on Ebay and buy these products, then the company can't trick you into becoming "Loyal Customers". Then they can't get their hands on your credit card information, and bill you whether you want the product or not. I don't know who this company thinks they are. What on Earth makes them think they have the right to tell people what they can and can't do? They can NOT stop you from selling products on Ebay. As long as you are not a distributor or signed any contract with this company, they can't do a thing. Well, except harass you continuously. They will definitely do that. I urge you all to look up "First Sale Doctrine". Put simply it states - Once you have purchased a product, it is yours. It is now your property. You can do with it what you want. If you want to sell it, you have that right. It is yours! It Works no longer has any say so in what can or can't be done with that product once they have accepted payment for it. It no longer belongs to them. It belongs to you! You can google the information and see for yourself. Do not let this company intimidate you! They are counting on that. They are counting on people being intimidated into not selling their wraps. They know they can't do anything legally. But they hope you don't know that and that you get scared and do as they say. It's sickening a company has to resort to bullying their own Customers! Or, bullying anyone for that matter. Again, I ask, WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE?
I know someone that says that these have worked miracles for her..losing over 10 inches in a matter of days. Personally I find that hard to believe and it sounds very dangerous. Obviously fat is not being drained from the body so it must be water and that much water loss can be fatal. I am glad you have spoken up and shared your story. I was going to try them but now I feel it is a waste of money. Most of these people will gain it all back unless they dehydrate themselves over and over.
As an independent distributor for It Works Global I would like to apologize for your experience. While it is true that It Works Global has strict policies and procedures regarding sellling products through E-Bay and other forums, this should not be dealt with through rudness and threats, but rather with an explaination of the rationale.
Unlike most body wraps the Ultimate Body Wrap uses a blend of herbs to promote tightening, toning and firming of the skin. The product is most effective for those who have lost weight and want to firm sagging skin (like me) or who have had a child and want to firm up the skin and minimize stretch marks. It is important that all advertisements reflect this. It is also important that those who are using the wraps are aware of the potential side effects, and follow the iinstructions such as 1. drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water over the next 24 hours. 2. measure in 45 minutes to check to see if you are bloating (you can sleep in them, but not if you are bloating!). The products are all natural, but that does not mean that they are 100% safe. Peanuts are all natural, but for someone who is alergic to peanuts they can be deadly. As a distributor I follow up with each person who orders to ensure that they are safisfied and are not showing symptoms of an alergic reaction. While I DO NOT have access to anyone's credit card information, I can see when they recieved there order, ensure they got it in a timely manner, follow their purchases and make sure they know how to make the best use of their perk points. None of this is possible through E-Bay.
Most importantly the It Works Ultimate body applicator is part of a system. They are intended to be used in conjunction with Fit Works, which is a diet and excercise program. The guidelines for Fit Works are available to loyal customers on their E-Suite (along with recipes). Fit Works can not be made available through E-Bay or through other venues.
Once again I would like to apologize for your experience. I hope this gives you a better understanding of the rationale behind our marketing regulations.
I agree, its a total scam.
I went to a ItWorks 'Party' and joined as a loyal customer against my better judgement. I was told that after the initail 3 month period that you need to maintain to be a loyal customer, that the payments and autoshipments would automatically stop, and that you had to go onto the website to place further orders.
I was so shocked by the cost of shipping ($25 for a 30ml cream) that I wanted to make sure I would not incur any further charges. I emailed to cancel my membership. However, they continued to charge my card. I made several attempts to contact IW and when I eventually got someone, they said there was nothing they can do. WHAT? even though they ILLEGALLY CHARGED MY CC WITHOUT MY CONSENT?? I sent the products back and have been chasing them regularly for my refund for over 2 months! I have just received an email saying they will refund me less shipping and packing fee, which after paying to send the product back basically results in nothing! This company is FRAUDULENT and has NO MORALS. DONT BE A FOOL, STAY AWAY FROM IT WORKS COS IT DOESNT!!!
