This repair shop is among the worst I've ever seen in that it preys upon I-95 travelers who have no other emergency repair options. The owner, Billy Merritt, is a thief, a liar, and from what I can tell, has almost no knowledge of automotive repair. There are numerous complaints (look them up on the web) filed against this shop and the authorities in Jasper County, SC have turned their eyes from them. We are in the process of filing official complaints through the BBB, the state Consumer Affairs Division and the Attorney General's office. This shop needs to be closed down yesterday. Steer clear of this garage. Otherwise, you will be trapped in this man's web of deceit and underhandedness.

On August 15, 2014 I was traveling on I-95 from VA to FL. My back tire was leaking air so I got off at the nearest exit. After asking about the nearest auto shop, I was told to go to Merritts because it was just a few miles down the road. When I entered the shop and explained what the problem was the lady behind the desk acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I pulled my car into the garage for the guy to patch my tire. After 30 minutes and $40 later I was back on the road. (The lady didnt want to take my creddit card, but had to. She was a smart ass about it.) Five days later, I noticed the same tire was leaking air so I went to our local tire shop. They told me that the tire was patched with what you would plug a leaking lawn mower tire!!! Rude service, over priced, incompetent...DO NOT GO HERE!!!
