I was persuaded to buy a security program system from a Door to Door salesman for Nationwide Security Solutions. It was expensive , but I thought that this Person was telling me the Truth about his company and their system. The first few months, it worked ok. I didn't find out for 3 months that I was actually tied to Monitronics when I got my first bill. I didn't find out that, In fact, the system is not monitored 24-7-365. I only discovered when the system failed, that only people who are attached to a land line are actually monitored and people who have cell phone systems are put on a answering machine about 10:00 PM and that is when most problems start to happen. You can't talk to a machine. It tells you to call Nationwide, then when you call Nationwide their machine tells you to call Monitronics. After 30 minutes of commercials, You are told SORRY, You have to call back during daylight hours only and only on weekdays, no weekend or holidays. Then the system started malfunctioning, flashing lights, false signals, and no response from the company. I tryed repeatedly to figure out what was wrong, Calling repeatedly until I could get someone to walk me through the check system steps. A couple of months ago, I finally got a woman in Vancouver Washington who was going to send out a repair or replace person, but she told me that I had to pay a $50.00 service Charge. I told her to Shove it, That this was their system, and if it didn't work properly that it was going to be ripped out. She finally agreed to fix the system Free, but then she called back 4 days later to say that no one would be coming and the had reprogrammed the system electronically. She Lied. A few days later it started screwing up again and sending out false alarms to the Police and to my contacts. I am at my wits end, and totally frusterated trying to deal with this junk system. Arepair person actually finally showed up yesterday and reprogramed the system, and I told him in no uncertain terms about the junk he was servicing and the companies he works for. A woman from Monitronics finally called this morning while i was doing this report and apologized and said she would see whar she could do about getting me out of this contract with no penalties and having the system removed from my home. I can only hope that this person is honest and sincere and able to acomplish what she told me. Save Your Money and you sanity. Under no conditions buy anything from these two companies
