Mychangeaddress.com is a ripoff! They charge $6.99 to change your address when the USPS does it online for $1.00. I moved recently and did a Google search for "USPS change address". The first thing that came up looked like it was the best way to change my address with the USPS, but it was a paid Google AD for mychangeaddress.com. Anyway, I clicked on it and went through the process, and they charged me $6.99. I was in a hurry, so I did it. It has now been 15 days, and I have not received any forwarded mail! They have not responded to my email request to let me know what is going on. To avoid making the mistake I did, if you want to change your USPS address online, make sure you go to the official USPS site, and NOT to mychangeaddress.com
I reported this company to the BBB. The parent company is Bridgevine, Inc.
mychangeaddress.com is absolutely a ripoff!!!
The amount a user is charged ($6.99) may not seem like much but do the probable math!!
This is not the first time I've had an experience like this but it will be the last!
It wasn't that long ago that scammers were rarely heard of...but not so anymore!
I called Chase and they removed the charge --- SHAME on Google for allow adwords placements from a company that clearly is a scam --- if this site WERE legit, why no phone of contact info? Chase gave me the following number 888 375 4610 for http://www.mychangeaddress.com/ ... I've seen supposed responses from Bridgevine that say "we are legit" but why would they put the disclaimer "below the fold" on their web site saying they are not the USPS change of address site? I only figured it out when I got the email from them saying "we will contact the USPS in the next 6 - 10 business days"... I went to the USPS site and the address change was immediate.
