Sponsored Whips Took my money, made big promises, delivered NOTHING! Wilimungton, Delaware
19th of Sep, 2011 by User720811
Just before Labor Day weekend this year (2011), I contacted a company I had found on Facebook, called Sponsored Whips. The company claimed to be able to get one's vehicle sponsored by various companies, in return for promising to have one's vehicle in the public eye at least once a week, during the Car Show season (May-October), and also for wearing the sponsor company's logo clothing, as well as distributing their promotional materials. I sent Sponsored Whips a Check for $199.00, which was supposed to cover the cost of Sponsored Whips writing up a "Proposal" on the vehicle I submitted, and then proceeding to contact companies regarding sponsoring my car. About one week from the time my Check cleared, I received an envelope with a photocopied label applied, and inside, a photocopied Letter, stating how Sponsored Whips was now working to promote my car. I also received several phone calls from a person calling himself Patrick, who claimed to be my Representative at Sponsored Whips. Patrick asked me what I wanted to do with my car, and I told him, an Engine upgrade, some Interior improvements, a stronger Transmission to go with the Engine I wanted, and other drivetrain, and chassis upgrades to withstand what the upgraded Engine would put out in horsepower and torque. Patrick replied that he would reach out to either an "Energy Drink" company, or, after I supplied the company's name, TCI Transmissions regarding the stronger Transmission I would need to go with the upgraded Engine I wanted. The Monday after we last spoke, I called Patrick to tell him my car had blown its Transmission, and now that would be my number one priority in terms of what I wanted to upgrade on my car first. Patrick promised to get in touch with TCI, and try to have a Transmission for me by Thursday, Sept 15, 2011. As the date drew nearer, the excuses as to why nothing had happened, flowed like a raging river. At one point in time Patrick claimed to have contacted TCI, but hadn't gotten any response, and in his own words-"That never happened before." Later on, when I said to Patrick in another phone conversation (Sept 14, 2011), that it didn't look like I'd ever see the Transmission he promised, Patrick chided me by saying-"You know you're not asking for an inexpensive item." My reply-"I'm painfully well aware of that." I have since sent Sponsored Whips a certified Letter, upon which, as of Sept 20, 2011, delivery had been attempted once. Since my conversation with Patrick of Sponsored Whips on Sept 14, 2011, I have received no further phone calls from Patrick, and I doubt I ever will.
