Vitalone's Services Vitalones ripped me off willoughby, Ohio
7th of Oct, 2011 by User709810
My car was towed by the willoughby police department because I had got into some trouble. THe police department called Vitalones towing to tow my car to their storage lot. I went to court and the judge gave an order to have my car released. They just gave me the paper work and told me I could have my car released. I looked up on the web the name and the hours of operation on Vitalones website. The Website stated that it was a 24 hour 7 day a week business. I then went to the company on a saturday afternoon about 2:30pm. There was a guy sitting behind the desk talking on the phone and playing solitare on the computer. I waited about 10 min before the guy came up to the window. I showed him my paper work from the courts and told him I was there to get my car. He looked at my paper work and said I think you need a release form from the police dpartment but let me check. He then called someone on the cb radio and asked them about it they said yes they need a release from the police department. The man then got back on the phone and started conducting other business while I was standing there. 20 mins. later the guy came back up to the window and said you need a release form from the police department. I said " ok I will go and get that the courts didnt tell me I needed it he then stated "well they dont tell you a lot of things". He then said your second dilima is our lot closed at 3 o' clock. I said It is two minuted before 3 give me a break here he said even if you got here 6 mins before three you wouldnt have gotten here in time enough to get your car out. I said "I was here at 2:30 and I had to wait for you to come to the window". He then said "sorry" with a smile on his face" You have to wait until monday to get your car. I was so mad I started crying when I left. I clearly stated on the website they are open twenty four hours a day 7 days a week. THis guy was clearly trying to rack up fees on me. It was already at $391 dollars to get my car out. I think what they are doing is ripping people off they have a contract with the willoughby police department to tow cars. THe Willoughby Police department refers this company to people for towing and all this company is doing is taking advantage of people. These are unfair business practices and I dont know what avenues I can take to make sure this company does not rip other people off. I am going to report them to the better business bureau.
