I questioned a charge by, which appeared on my credit card for something I had no knowledge of. In response to this I received an email from Amazon that since my credit card company had reversed the payment of this charge, I had an unpaid item on my account and my account was therefore "frozen".

I was able to have them "unfreeze" my account, but wonder how many people drop their inquiry as to an unknown charge by Amazon after receiving an email that their account was "frozen".

I have emailed Amazon regarding this exploitive conduct, but have received no reply.
