| This guy takes the cake, he acts like he is working behind the scenes on your web site, asks for more money and doesn't do a thing. His job with me was to be 2 to 4 weeks, now I have abandoned the project after 6 months of payments to Andy to receive a web site that's 25% done if that and no way what we agreed upon in the first place. If you want to employ someone who will do nothing, take your money with a smile, and then slander you online as the problem, he is your guy, here is his e mail address. For all Readers.
The project came to an alt when the client was supposed to procure some form of a Payment Gateway and did not.
He expected the website to be able to receive credit card payments but apparently was not able to get any bank or any kind of merchant gateway in order to allow the website to receive credit card payments.
This client had always been into some very shady businesses, borderline legal stuff, and downright illegal stuff such as Online Gambling.
Reflecting on the matter in fact, I'm definitely not surprised that no one would give him a merchant gateway. He is probably blacklisted as an "at risk" client by the merchant service provider companies.
Aside from this, I had the unwanted pleasure to assist this client in other projects, and all projects ended likewise due to the client not providing what he was supposed to provide.
Here is a quick list of the website(s) I had created from him and how/why they are now offline:

An adult website meant to post pictures of models. The client decided to turn the website into an Ad Farm. Seeing that no one wanted to advertise on a website with NO NEW CONTENT, I advised the client to either cut down on the ads, or to procure new content.
Nothing was done, Bills went unpaid and the website was offline in less then 7 month from it's creation.
We can put this off to loss of interest I suppose.

Same as the prior website, Identical scenario except he didn't know or get any models to take pictures to begin with, so the website was always a loss.

The client wanted a dating services website to be created. I gave him a deal and said I'd create it based on my software for a cheaper fee then he'd get making it from scratch.
He had me start on the project, and My Fault, I started without pay on good faith.
After a month of work, the client never provided anything he was asked for; Simple items such as terms and conditions, or how he wanted the registration page to look, an SSL certificate, GUESS WHAT... A PAYMENT GATEWAY!
After a month of this going on, he decided to cancel the project all together.
He subsequently went and bought a website software which never worked right for $100.
The software he bought would not accept credit cards either since he was missing (as always this far) a payment gateway.
Again, after loosing interest in the project which wasn't making him any money, he stopped paying the hosting and had the website disconnected (from the other company, not my own).
Are you beginning to see a pattern here?

Another one of his project was the downright illegal online gambling / Poker website
Since there is no legal issue in creating a website for it (the website does not run the games it self of course), I went ahead and designed the website and all the necessary pages and SEO to get needed Search Engine attention he wanted.
The gambling company called MergeGaming decided to close it's doors to this particular client (I no longer wonder why!!!)
The website was therefore shut down (due AGAIN to the client loosing interest in the project. This is however the only time when it was not a bad decision since the business model was ILLEGAL to begin with).
Is there more? O yes, the cam sites!
Let's see, can you make a cam site without MODELS!? Well that didn't stop this person from trying to!

Surprisingly the website is still up! However, It's not like it's a working website!
It might seem like it is, but there is no models, and their merchant gateway does not exist!
"Deposit money:
unauthorized MERCHANT."
Et voila... Yet again, a project that can't make any money because of a missing merchant gateway!
Honestly everyone, If I have a fault it's believing that this time things were going to be any different!
NOW, he was supposedly scammed by this other company (DMS Marketing), but I wonder... Did he provide a payment gateway!? Is it the company's fault or his own!?
To tell you all the truth, I had advised Doug against this project entirely.
I told him to put the money he'd spend getting started into the freeadzz.com website. The client decided to go against my advise and pay this company any way, then proceeded to personally (in an email) blame me for his decision as well!
I appreciate all clients that will comment below testifying to both my company's honesty and prompt timeliness over the past years. |
