We ordered new bath robes though Boca Terry LLC. Boca Terry ships through Aaron Tucker. Apon receiveing our sample robe, which we loved, we ordered the remaining robes we needed. Once we received the rest of our order we inspected the products and found that all of the robes were defective. The robes had a problem with the material used to make them 'pilling' and shedding. No matter how many times we washed them the quality did not improve.
We had many back and forth e-mails with Aaron Tucker regarding the proper procedure to return at least one of the defective robes to the manurfacturer (Boca Terry). Aaron provided us with a return shipping label to send the robe back for inspection.
Upon Boca Terry's review of the product, they came to the conclusion that there was in fact nothing wrong with the product. They stated that there was 'pilling' occuring, but the little balls of fuzz could simply be pulled off. We do not feel that we should have to change or alter a brand new product to make it right, the product should have been made correct at Boca Terry to start with. Why should we be responsible to pick off the 'little balls of fuzz'? Furthermore, even when we tried to remedy the problem by doing just that, we found that the problem still occured after washing the robe.
Again we corresponded with Aaron Tucker, stating that we were entirely unhappy with the products and the company, and that we would like to return all of the purchased robes for a refund of our money. To which Aaron replied that we would have to pay the shipping and handling fees, and on top of that he would not refund our money! Instead of refunding us any of the money, Aaron took it upon himself to set us up an account with credit on it through his website for future purchases.
Frankly, we want nothing to do with his company, or Boca Terry. Why should we be FORCED to use our money at his company? He never addressed the fact that we asked for a refund, nor did he ask if wanted a credit or an account through his website. He just took it upon himself to start an account for us, on a website that we will never use, and issued a credit to said account to use on any products he sells. Overall we have a bad taste in our mouths over this entire ordeal. The manurfacturer will not admit they have a cheap product, the distributor will not honor his own refund policy, and we are still stuck with defective bath robes that do not stand up to our level of quality!
