I read alot about Vanguard Associa, Michael Donnell is not the only property manager draining the assets out of the property at Associa, Vanguard. Angela Valentine is another property manager just as astute at stealing the assets from the homeowners. We replaced the roofs on our property. The property manager Angela Valentine collected bids gave them to the board as recommendations for the work on our property. The work was done within days an owner was called to come and check for a plumbing leak in his unit . It was not pipes leaking into the lower unit. The roof was leaking under the decks. He called Angela immediately on Friday after discovering the problem. The property manager never called back she went through the weekend without addressing the problem. When she arrived(now remember she already knew it was leaking into the lower unit) she stated "well this is really bad, I didn't think it was this bad" When all was said and done the roofers told the homeowners they could have prevented much of the damage if they had been called on friday. Eventually the homeowners found out that the roofers hired and recommended by Angela Valentine to the board were not certified for flat roofs. Angela Valentine was confronted in a board meeting regarding this she claimed victim"I didn't know" ! Excuse me you manage multimillion dollar properties and don't know how to do it? People who stood up to her suffered many reprisals for this. We were not reimbursed by the insurance company because of hiring a company not certified for flat roofs. For the first time in 30 years the property was assigned a special assessment fee. There have been many problems with finances lost checks payments not applied to the correct accounts. lack of response to customer calls. no vegetation around units. She stays here because she has her nose so high up into (two) board members personal space(one is male) that they can't see the forest for the trees. Vanguard has a training ground for these pseudo Hitlers. NOTE: If you have a board and Vanguards property manager the property manager can do anything legally with no reprisals. Ultimately your board is liable.
