I don't understand the logic behind this one I started out living peacefully and paying my bills on time with the Emerald Point Apartments/ owned by Breeden which utilize the water billing company called Istafrom April 2008. at which time the water bill use to run from $35.00 to $ 40.00 then in December 2009 we get a letter explaining that Ista hadn't billed the Complex properly that they were changing company and was now with AUM and would start charging us extra to offset the Cost of ISTA's underbilling and it would take Three months to correct itself,well the water bill started coming in and my water bill was triple and here were are October 2010 with two months left for 2011 to come in, not only did the issues never resolved itself now AUM combined with Breeden Company turned the Rental bill into one lump sum and it had quadrupled so now i find myself paying close to $150.00 very month for water bill with no break insight and should I mention there's only two people living in my apartment, when you contact AUM they turn you over to the Rental office and vice versa so not only do they expect you to pay their price gourgin bill they constantly harrass you by posting notice on your front door whether you owe $10.00 or $50.00 they threatened to deduct the amount of water billed owed from your rent which would make you delinquent and then have the audacity to tackle another 10% for insufficient rent, in this economy where pepole are out of work and trying to do the best that they can so they can keep a roof over their head you have company like AUM merged with Breeden Company Emerald Point Apartments ripping people off and we don't have any recourse and nowhere to turn to for relief.....

I totally understand your complaint. I have had the same problem, but they told me when the new Aum people went to every apt, that my meter was broke, and that they fixed it for me. The told me that I should consider myself lucky that I hsd gotten away with a broken meter so long. And by the way... I live alone..!!
