Austin Data Rescue Joshua Harper Lied, mislead, scammed. Austin, Texas

I had a memory card from a vacation that wouldn't play the middle or end videos. I called to ask about data rescue, and Joshua said he could help me he quoted me $300.00 and up. I said that was out of my budget and thanked him. He said if I blogged he could get the price down closer to $200.00. He said the diagnostic was no cost. I left my card and weeks went by before I got him to send me a quote. It was $385.00. I asked him why he didn't keep his agreement and he said he would but he needed my credit card. I asked him to send a quote with the amount we had agreed to. He didn't, so I asked for my disk back. I picked it up and all the data was gone. I called him and he said the memory card was bad so he wouldn't pull info back on it. Basically, it was a scam to get my card and keep the info hostage. He never told me the card would come back to me empty. The diagnostic was free. The fact he asked me to blog for a discount was the set up for the scam.
