Banker's Life and Casualty It's all a sophisticated facade!! Toledo, Ohio
4th of Dec, 2011 by User152569
It is now 2011 and Banker's Life and Casualty is still the same scam company they have been accused of for many years. The company hides behind the philosophy that they help the elderly, what a joke!! The bottom line is the company wants an agent to get as much money as possible from a client, anyway you can. I personally was called into my managers office and chastized for not trying hard enough to get an elderly couple to purchase a long term care policy from us, and that I did not try hard enough to get them to invest their money with Banker's. You call this helping people? REALLY?! The alledged "great lead system" is also a joke!! The leads are passed from agent to agent, they are old, and many times the same lead is passed to several different agents in the same office and this, we as agents, pay $225 a month?! The system is designed for only a few to achieve any level of success, and this is only done if you completely buy into the Banker's way of doing business. I feel the fact that a company has to entice employees with prizes and money to keep them working says a lot about how bad the job really is. What it all boils down to, is that the people at the top, (office management) are the only ones making any large amounts of money. Sure there area few agents sprinkled around that do make good money, but the system is designed mainly for management to get rich. Banker's products are not competitive when it comes to price, and as an agent you can only hope people havn't done the research to realize this. I heard many times how expensive Banker's insurance was compared to others, and we're taught to say it's because of the service we provide, yeah, right! I spent about 5, extremely stressful, months with Banker's, all the while "hearing you're not making enough calls",(90% of the calls there's no one to talk to!) "you're not spending enough of your own money" (because Banker's will not aid in any advertising), "you don't have the right attitude". I am not a "quitter" by nature. I have never walked away from or left a job before in all my years as a working citizen, but I just could not take Banker's B.S. anymore. You must always appear happy about your job because any negativity will get a person repremanded. They don't want to hear anyone talking negative about the company, if you do you're out!! Then when you do leave it's because you're a loser, lazy and a person with a bad disposition. I guess that describes about 95% of the people that try to work for Banker's. I seen about a 12-15 people come and go in that short period, many of whom you don't even learn their name.
