I joined gym with very nice sales person who told me that I had to join with a 6 month commitment and when I wanted to cancel I could just show them my out of state license and they would cancel my membership. I first put my membership on hold for I had to travel for work, they told me this was acceptable but when I did it they said they would reimburse me upon cancellation. I then moved out of town and tried to show my license and they said that was not enough information. I told them thats what the salesperson had told me, they said we don't care! So I showed them other documentation and they then canceled my membership but said I would not be allowed to get my money back for the months I put on hold for I canceled the membership. I was not informed of any of this upon joining by the membership consultant. Once they have your credit card and your signature these companies think they can do anything they want. They were obnoxious and this is not a place I would ever join! I hope people who read this take my advice. Caveat Empor!
