Casino Tax Rebates..Cameron McDougall Freelancer.com id Cameroncito This Man is Trying To Cheat a Freelance Writer of $750 Internet
11th of Jul, 2011 by User171364
Hello,
My name is Amanda and I am logged onto the site Freelancer.com as writerhere. I had stopped working through this site after a few negative incidents where clients cheated me of my money. I must also state here that the last time I worked for GAF I had a full time job as a and was not particularly serious about the assignments on the site which earned me a fair number of negative reviews that I completely deserved. About a month ago, my need for some quick cash made me go back to the site. After a hiatus of almost a year, I was back to writing for Freelancer.com clients. My very first assignment was a $750 project (writing 1000 sugar profiles) from a man named Cameron Mcdougall who holds the id Cameroncito on the site. He has stated his association with Casino Tax Rebates on freelancer.com hence I am mentioning the establishment in my report. The project was supposed to be completed in 15 days but it went overdue by a few days. I told the client that I would send him 150 profiles more to make up for his loss of time or I could release the escrow. He asked me to continue sending the profiles. While I sent the first 175 profiles through Freelancer.com, it seemed convenient to use the clients email id for sending the others. After sending the completed assignment of 1150 profiles, I was told that the email id on which I sent the assignment was incorrect. I resent the files to the email id furnished by the client. Then, I was told that Google does not like large attachments, so I should use a service called yousendit.com. I did so on June 27th. I had also sent a test mail to the client before using yousendit.com to confirm the email id. On June 28th, I received a mail from the client stating, "Yes, received it but Google does not like large attachments". Since I did not hear back from the client after this communication, I resent the file twice more. I even checked freelancer.com for account activity but the client had not logged in for more than a week. He filed an incomplete project report on July 11 and requested Freelancer admin to free the funds ($750) in the escrow account. I tried to get in touch with him through his mail account and after numerous attempts, he wrote back saying that he did not receive the files and offered an alternate email id. At this point, he had already filed the dispute which meant that he could go ahead with the issue and demand his escrow back even after getting the assignment for the fourth time. I wrote to him asking him to suspend the dispute temporarily and give me a few hours to send the files since I was at work. He did not respond to my mail and wrote to GAF admin again requesting the release of his funds. Despite the debacle, I tried communicating with him through his mail id and also gChat. After innumerale attempts to get him to talk, he finally threw a statment in my face saying that I could not be trusted since my feedback on Freelancer.com was less than perfect and he would like to proceed with the dispute. I have sent him the file thrice, once through a service, yousendit.com that he recommended and I have screen shots to prove it which have been sent to Freelancer.com admin. However, the fact remains that Freelancer.com is a pro-buyer establishment; I know this because I have been through the drill before. So, chances are that the ruling will be in favor of the client eventhough I have explicitly mentioned that I would be more than willing to send the completed project to Freelancer admin. I am certainly not going to plead for my just remuneration; I will fight for it but I am not sure that I will win. I am filing this report for one sole purpose to warn other writers and freelancers about working with this unscrupulous buyer. I admit that my record on Freelancer.com is far from perfect; that is I have 23 positive review and 16 incomplete reports. However, my past record should certainly not have a bearing on the current situation. I believe that he set out to dupe me from the beginning because he thought that I was an easy target given my feedback on the site. If you are a freelancer; think over a million times before working with this guy and if you are one of his clients, ask yourself if you are really willing to allow a man who can cheat a person of a few hundred dollasr to handle your business? BEWARE OF CAMERINCITO ON FREELANCER.COM AKA CAMERON MCDOUGALL FROM CASINO TAX REBATES, THUNDER BAY CANADA.
