On 11/10/2010 I had a stroke. It was the last thing I expected. I signed up for a 2 year contract with charter.net. You don't expect something to happen this drastically. Now I can't pay my bill and they won't let me out of my 2 year contract! It will be disconnected at the end of April 2011. I will have no money to pay $150.00 because my contract was broken plus my bill. I don't think this is fair.

I AM RETIRED SINCE FEB. 2011 BECAUSE OF A ILLNESS, CHARTER WANTS TO CHARGE ME $140.00 TO DISCONNECT SO THAT I CAN GO TO A MORE REASONABLE COST. THIS IS NOT RIGHT SINCE I NEVER SIGN ANY PAPER WORK. THEY SAID IT WAS MADE OVER THE PHONE, BUT NOT BY ME SO I INTEND TO FIGHT THIS CRAZY MESS. CHARTER I HOPE YOUR READING ALL THIS, YOUR LONG TIME CUSTOMERS ARE NOT HAPPY AND REMEMBER THERE ARE ALOT MORE CHOICES OUT THERE NOW.
