I Jasper Williams was in a predatory loan through a mortgage broker, The Mortgage Team in Illinois in 1997. The rate was 15%, I paid this high-interest mortgage for fifteen years. I was contacted by SPS that I had a balloon and my note was due in less than one year. This was shocking as a balloon was never discussed during the initial loan process. After reviewing my documents, it appeared my signature was forged on the balloon rider. I filed a report with the local police and nothing was done to rectify the situation. I owed $30k on my home, and no way of accumulating the money to pay the note in full. I called a Cpac office and transferred to Ms. Gilda Granell by Debra in client intake. I was not able to afford more aggressive legal services Cpac office assisted me with free Lender Fraud and Violation Analysis Report and the Free HAMP loan Mod assistance, and all the required forms for modification were mailed via USPS to my home in Illinois. I signed and submitted the package to SPS. In December 2001 we obtained the desperately needed modified note at approximately 4.5 % interest for 15 years. I can easily make the new payment and hope to pay off my home prior to the end of the 15 year. My family feels as though weâ€™ve received a miracle. A testimony letter has been mailed to CPACâ€™s office and should arrive within a few days. Weâ€™re grateful to CPAC for everything theyâ€™ve done for my family and intend to tell others about our story. Jasper Williams
