I could not figure out where the almost $200 came from. After 3 phones back to dish network and enhanced recovery I got the service address- It was an address my husband and his ex wife lived over 11 almost 12 years ago. This was included in bankruptcy years ago.

So I provided the attorney information to the collection agency and so on and they said well we will contact your attorney to see if you really filed- as if we are lying??? I said fine go ahead. then they said WE had to contact dish network again to give them the information.

I contacted again and it was such a run around before I was transferred to the Executive offices. I had done all this and PAID to fax the copy of the bankruptcy in just 3 years prior when the same thing happened (just claiming a different amount at that point). I figured then it was one of those slip through the cracks type of things. Keep in mind the federal bankruptcy court also informed them as well as my husbands' attorney.

Apparently no one, at Dish Network, did their job and now they are trying to collect again and want us to pay a debt the judge made a ruling on years ago!

The guy in the executive offices then tells me it will be taken care of but he did not take any information and said this was a new collection agency who just ran with it with out verifying information. Does this mean they had the information on why they didn't ask for anything? Proving they were trying to get us to pay even though they can't?

That does not excuse the fact they contacted us while in bankruptcy when that is against the Federal bankruptcy judges orders.

Needless to say they were attempting to try to force us to pay for a debt my husband included in bankruptcy and it was for cancellation fees from almost 12 years ago! His ex wife had ordered the dish in HER name prior to them splitting up and it was less than a month before they had split up at that time! Don't they have a 30 day guarantee?
