Elan Financial Services sent collection letter on unpaid credit card balance of $1,016.91. Never heard of them or their credit card. St. Louis, Misso

Out of the clear blue sky, I received a letter from the Elan Financial Company, PO Box 108, St. Louis, Mo. indicating that I owe them $1,016.91 on their credit card #4147768566488548 and that the account is past due and I should pay them $85 immediately. I have never heard of the Elan Financial Company nor have I ever applied for a credit card from them. I have never received a statement from them I do have credit cards from big banks and the American Express. I do not do business with financial companies.

I just received a letter from Elan Financial Services today - saying I owed them $2, 090.19. I don't have an account with them. I have two credit cards and neither have anything to do with Elan. When you google them, you get dozens of links to their sites - they want to hide sites such as this. When you google Elan and scam, you are still led to them. Google Elan fraud and you are still linked to them. They are definitely trying to hide websites like this.

my mother received a delinquent letter today showing past due for her deceased husband. I called the number on letter and they were closed. When I went online it gives different sites. Appears to be a scam
