Parents and students planning to attend Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville NC had better rethink the process before they give the school any money or allow them to access their financial aid. This school is the most corrupt college I have had the dipleasure of dealing with. Laws and rule means nothing to the. They pulled the old "bait and switch" con on me. After being accepted for both fall and summer semester as an in state student, they changed my status to out of state, increased my tuition by almost double the amount in our contract right in the m,iddle of the semester. They put this on human error but they could have used the fact that my husband had lived in the state for over 20 years and we were reconciling but they ignored that fact.

They've got this con game going where they state in their advertising that they are the cheapest four year university in the state. They deliberately understate the cost of attendance for off campus students. Many of the off campus students are out in the community trying to fraud home owners to rent rooms to them for as little as $250.00 a month. Leaving most of them to jump from one house to the next during the semester because the university refuses to give them full entitlement. As that would show the true cost of attendance. The most I was offered is $350.00 for a one bedroom, including utilities. Told me the apply for welfare housing, they have a waiting list of one year.

If enough students and parents complains to the state university system, maybe they will shut down this fraudulent college. Students and parents, please write the governor, on her website, if you have an issue. And don't allow them to blackmail you as they tried to do me; claiming that "there must be something you are doing wrong" to stop the process of my complaint. Go to Fayetteville State University and you will surely be sorry!!!
