Flight Booked no ticket

Govolo Travel Agent Scammer : March 17 2011

I booked a flight on behalf of my son using a credit card with "Govolo.de"
Immediately received email from unrecognisable sender "[email protected]" advising of undefined extra charges for checking in and baggage !!

Subsequent confirmation of flight incorrectly inserted my name as passenger rather than my sons name.
On pointing out their error - they then advised I was responsible for the error - could not have been the case as I had provided my son's full passport details.
They laso advised that I would have to cancel the flight -losing 100% of money already paid for the ticket and had the bare-faced cheek to suggest I rebook using the correct name and pay the full costs again !!!

Next Steps I will contact airline to see if the reservation is real or virtual...I suspect its a complete scam and then contact IAT who they show in the website that they are a registered IATA member. Dont hold out much hope of retrieving the money. Why there site is not taken down & fraud prosecution started I just dont understand. Shocking how they get away with it so easily.

Hi, had the same experience. They ask me to send them a certified check after taking my visa number!!! It seems that Visa already knows about them.
