|GIGANEWS are SCAMMERS! How come? Read below how I was ripped off by them. I subscribed to their Diamond plan two days ago.|
Here's the description you can find on their website :
$34.99 $17.49 (for the firt month of service) - Unlimited monthly transfer
- 1029 days retention
- 50 connections
- 256-bit SSL
- mimo". I subscribed to that because of Mimo that is a newsgroup browser that allows usenet search.
Other software that allows usenet search are not free. Since mimo was included, I was interested in Giganews' Diamond plan. The problem is that Mimo doesn't work very well!
Most of the time, it takes up to 99% of my processor ressource (Windows XP) !!! And sometimes it even freezes at the splashscreen.
I contacted MIMO support, here's their answer : "We are aware of this issue. On certain systems Mimo seems to want to be a memory hog. We are working on improving it since it is still a beta software. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it right now." I was very angry !!! They are aware about it but Giganews included it into their Diamond plan ? So I wrote to Giganews to tell them not to charge me and I also cancelled my subscription.
It was already the next day of my subscription. They cannot say I waited too long or something and so they cannot pay me back. By the way, on their website it was written :
"14-day Free Trial on All Accounts
Cancel anytime. No commitment. No risk." Yes, --- 14-day Free Trial --- on --- ALL ACCOUNTS ---, but it didn't prevent those scammers to charge me the very first day of my subscription! Scammers!!! I contacted Giganews SUPPORT, they tell me to use other software than Mimo!
I cannot believe that. I paid for Mimo access, and the Giganews support asks me to use another brower!!! Scammers!!! Then I contacted the Giganews BILLING support, they tell me that mimo is not a part of their plan.
BUT as mentionned in all the screen captures of their website I sent to them, MIMO is really a part of their offer called DIAMOND ! I asked them to react about that screencaptures but I've been still waiting for an answer from them... I sent many mails to them, now they don't even answer. Scammers !!! By the way, I've immediatly contacted my bank to cancel the credit card payment. GIGANEWS are SCAMMERS !!! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THERE !!! DOT NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER !!!
