HotJewelryAuctions.com is a SCAM! They say their jewelry is certified as new and fine jewelry. And that satisfaction is 100% guaranteed when in reality all they are doing is stealing your money! I bought, what I thought was a 10kt yellow gold bracelet with diamonds and rubies. I went to a jewelry store within 3 days of receiving because when I did receive it, it looked nothing like the picture and looked very.. very cheap. When the jeweler examined it, they tested it right in front of me and explained what the tests would tell them. The scratch test with the "gold" revealed that in fact, it was NOT gold. Not even gold plated! The rubies were no more than the play gems you would glue onto your shirts. The diamonds, needless to say.. were fake as well. They had their "ACA" certifications, and come to find out, ACA is run BY hotjewelryauctions.com and aren't even a registered company that you can contact! You cannot verify what their findings were with a 2nd opinion! On the actual "certification card" (if you want to call it that) it said: "Conclusion: New and finely crafted jewelry with all genuine materials as described". It's estimated replacement value was said to be $1,190, when in fact it's not worth more than $10, on a good day! When I called them after I had gotten home to explain to them what I found out and that I wanted my money back, "supervisor Joe" got very hostile with me, calling me a lair and an idiot. He demanded to know who tested the jewelry because they are liars as well and he will file a lawsuit. I then told him I went to Helzberg. He didn't have much to say after that except that I was an idiot and that I was a liar and I didn't really go to the jewelry store to have it looked at (when in fact, I promise you I did!). He then wanted to give me a "call back" when he looked up my invoice, and I told him, no, look up my invoice while you on the phone with me. He then hung up. I called back and he claimed he didn't hang up on me and that he put me on hold, which he didn't. He then hung up on me again! (And I KNOW he hung up on me, because when your on a cellphone, your cell won't hang up if your on hold, but when the other person hangs up, your cell automatically hangs up too). So I called back, yet again, and he again, called me an idiot and a liar and hung up on me. I called back and talked to the little pion they have as a CSR, and told him to let "Joe" know that I will be getting my money back from them and that if I have to, I will press fraud charges. If you just google them, there are NUMEROUS complaints about them with the same situations. The jewelry ended up being completely fake and such. They have numerous lawsuits against them for fraud. They also operate "World Jewelry Outlet" at http://wjoutlet.com/ That is where "Joes" email came from, not HotJewelryAuctions.com where I actually bought the bracelet. On my research, I also found that they were originally called "Paramount Jewelry", I believe to be based in Arizona, and they changed their name and moved to California to avoid any more lawsuits. These type of people deserve to be in jail. If they did this out in the open, in a mall, they would be shut down and put in jail! Why are they still in business and why are they still allowed to do this to people?!?! It's 100% fraud! There's no other way to put it!

I second that. I got scammed by Joe and Hot Jewelry Auctions aka World Jewelry Outlet, Paramount Jewelry and possibly others scam rings operated by this person. I'm in the process of filing a claim with paypal and by the time this whole process is through, it would have taken 3 months! Plus I might not get my money back.

So the moral of the story: DO NOT BUY from this SCAM artist. If you already have, and have physical proof that you have been scammed such as a legit jewelry appraisal proving that what you got from this business is a scam then you can file a police report and report his to the attorney general of california.

This person should be behind bars for fraud!

Court decision: Michele Mazur v. eBay Inc., Hot Jewelry Auctions.com d/b/a Jewelry Overstock Auctions and Paramount Auctions, et al.

If you don't have time to read my whole review, then just read this: Don't buy from this company! Product: F, A, K, E - fake! I bought two items from them - a diamond bracelet and an emerald & diamond 14k white gold ring. The items came with so called "ACA" gem reports, I had never heard of ACA, so of course I went to have them tested. I went to not just any jeweler's, I went to GIA. Gosh was I slapped in the face. Gold was not solid 14k, diamonds and emerald were not natural as advertised, but LAB CREATED. Staff & service: I contacted the company right away. This guy, Joe, was absolutely rude that I didn't even want to repeat what he said to me. He refused to accept GIA's report (!) and later on even said the items that I had GIA to certify were not the ones that they sold to me. So basically he said I lied. Needless to say, I was really upset. I called numerous times in the following days trying in vain to get a refund and finally someone, not that Joe, picked up my phone and, after I threatened reporting them to Better Business Bureau, said they "made a mistake" and offered to give me refund. What if a buyer didn't check out the jewelry? Then that "mistake" will be their money making machine. This company also sells on eBay with the user name hotjewelryauctions. One of the (numerous) company names that they use is Hill Street Jewelers USA Inc. I guess they are probably selling elsewhere online, if you know, please add to the list so that people will not be scammed and ripped off by them again!
