Yes, this is a scam. My husband and I applied and once fhey had supposedly approved us for a loan of $5000.00 they wanted us to send 900.00 Western Union to Barcelona. DO NO apply at LOAN CITY these people give your information to the people at Lexington Capital Trust which all they are trying to do is rip you off.

A key warning sign is if the lender asks you to pay them a fee before the loan funds. This is called an advance fee loan and it is illegal. Scammers requiring an advance fee often take the fee and disappear.

Another warning sign that you are dealing with a scammer is if they ask you to pay them using a wire transfer instead of using the mail. This allows them to circumvent mail fraud.

It is a scam.They asked us to pay a fee up front which would be the first fw months payments and we would recieve our money the next day after we paid that. The next day they called us and said the insurance didn't approve it and we would reieve the money we paid up front on the 9th of august. on the 10th of august w still had not recieved it, so we called. all numbers have been disconnnected. We have the names and phone numbers of everyone we talked to and who we western unioned it to and we have filed a police report and have hired our lawyer!
