| I have known marc cantrell since high school and began doing rehab work for his company advantage mortgage(belly up) in kansas city around 2006 to 2008and did several (7 or more)complete rehabs, with no problems with payment, on homes in kansas city,missouri.. He also ran restaurants called cheesehead(belly up) and spitfire grill(belly up) also in kansas city.He moved to chicago a couple of years ago but came back to kansas city in june of 2011 and asked me to do a rehab on a house he and shawn majidi(now living in california) owned which the city had scheduled for demolition unless it was repaired. we came to an agreement on the price and i began the work. fast forward 2 weeks. he had been making slow and incomplete progress payments and it was like pulling teeth getting materials and getting paid, come to find out marc was not paying me and shawn majidi was backing the deal at which point i contacted shawn and he assured me i would get paid and said marc was managing the job and making the payments as he tranferred the money to him, he even wrote me a personal check at this time. during the rehab marc stayed on the jobsite and basically was in the way, asking advice on irrelevant personal projects on the house, wasting days going to second hand stores trying to find used windows and materials for the whole house which were all bid for new at the beginning of the job, and trying to be a construction man on the job i was doing. one day he spent half a day scraping paint off of a furnace vent (literally). long story short he has owed me 1800.00 since july of 2011 on this job after promising several times to pay me and after shawn promised several times to pay me i still have received nothing. after repeatedly contacting him he finally responded through e-mail with personal attacks against my girlfriends 7 year old daughter and claimed my work was sub par etc.. these were all just lame excuses not to pay me as he was on the jobsite and monitored every aspect of my work as it was performed the entire 6 weeks i was there. he claimed i ruined a vanity,when in fact he filled the sink(which the plumbing wasn't even installed yet) with ice for beer and it leaked all over causing damage to the bottom of the vanity.watch out for these guys they did not keep their word and did not pay me,my mistake for trusting him and not getting a written contract. lesson learned; don't trust someone just because you thought they were friends and had done several sucessful transactions. |

| The person that wrote this report has a personal beef with Marc. In fact Dave Threlkeld( the originator of the complaint) has been in and out of prison his whole life. He even beat his own mother in a steroid rage. Marc is honest and has always worked hard. Dave likes to screw people for a living, however, he can't even do that right. Both of Marc's restaurants were classy to say the least. Dave has a failure to except the fact that he is a loser. Disregard this complaint against Marc Cantrell. I will put my name on that. Success runs in my family. |

| Marc has owed me money for years as well. We were friends as well and worked together at mortgage companies as well. He only took me for $1, 000 but it does go to show that if he would steal from friends imagine what he would do to people he does not know. |
