I recently bought a vehicle and not long after that, I have received a letter from Motor Vehicle Services titled 'Extremely Urgent and Time Sensitive'. At first it seemed like a good deal to sign up with this company, considering the fact that due to my good credit I was qualifying for something worthwhile. Customer service rep was very passionate to enroll me into this great plan, so he verbalized the contract over the phone, specifying that I will receive the complete package (in 2 series) through the mail in 4-7 and the second round in 2 weeks or so. The only thing I received though mail was one thin letter of one page congratulating me about this great deal that I signed up for (was that supposed to be the contract???) and later on a letter from the financial company specifying how will it will deduct the money out of my account. (where is the contract???) Later, when I realized that -since my car is fairly new '10- I did not need this coverage, I went ahead and called the same company to find out what can I do to cancel this contract and what fees, if any, apply in order to do so. After many failed and irritating attempts in trying to convince me to not cancel the contract the rep gives me some details about how I have to write them a letter and attach a notarized odometer reading to it if I want to cancel... after that he tells me he will send me a copy of the contract (oh, okay, so there is the contract!!!) (:O). The rep actually told me that they do not do cancellations, so that he can contradict himself later by telling me that he does not know what the process is to cancel since not too many people have cancelled their contracts with them) I finally was put through to talk to one of the supervisors... who never gave me details about how to cancel this contract, but actually decided to tell me about how he just lowered my monthly rate instead (?), after which he said that he will send me a copy of what we have just discussed, via email (I never got it). Meanwhile I call the company in whose name Motor Vehicle Solutions was doing business for and under which the contract was written and they tell me to send them a letter with the same attachment and that it will take 4-6 weeks to process. I call the rep again, he does not answer. Then, finally after couple of attempts to reach him, he finally answers the phone with an annoyed tone. I ask him again to cancel and he tells me the same thing about how I need to send the letter and the attached notarized paper to them so they can send it to the company they represent. I keep telling him that I spoke with the company itself and they told me that I could send it to them directly. He kept replying to me in a raspier and more annoyed voice that 'Nooo, listennnn... if you want to cancel this coooontract... you have to send it to us!!'. I replied how obvious it was that they were more than happy and cordial to deduct money out of my account but when there was word of cancellation they suddenly turned into Mr Hyde'. I ended my conversation by telling him what a horrible customer service experience I had today and I hang up. Biggest scammers and manipulators! Do not call them or agree to anything with them!
