| Last week I did a Google search for "16x16 shed plans free." One of the most popular results was for a product and website called myshedplans.com. I ordered the product because it promised to provide me with what I was looking for. After I paid for the product, received it, and had a chance to look through it, I came to the realization that it DID NOT have plans for a 16x16 shed. I reached out to the company for a refund but they have been unresponsive. I used Paypal to pay for the product, so I reached out to Paypal and filed a Dispute/Claim. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I did the search again a few minutes ago to verify, for myself, that the search and the advertisement PROMISED what I KNOW IT DID. The search results I got back this time looked completely different than they did the first time I did the search. I feel like a sucker who is being scammed. Why do my search results look so much different this time? Do you think that Paypal will do the same search I am doing, not see myshedplans.com and their promises, and then rule against me getting a refund for my claim/dispute?--- Those are the questions I am waiting to have answered by Google. I am hoping that complaints about this company have persuaded Google to stop provididng this company with business. I have read what the other ripoff reports say, and I can attest to their validity: The plans included in myshedplan's product have obviously been lifted from the public domain as well as from private online sites; most of the plans are incomplete, difficult to make sense of, difiicult to read(when handwritten), many of them are repeated(which makes it easier to meet their advertised number of 12,000 plans), and there is no rhyme or reason to the way they are organized---- you would think that any self-respecting company providing access to such a high volume of information would at least alphabetize it. If anybody is motivated to track these scammers down and start a class action suit against them, count me in. I am also considering posting an Anti-myshedplans video on you tube.... |

I totally agree with you. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund through PayPal by providing a claim. Thank you MyShedPlans.com for honoring my request, but your content of plans is old school and is arranged like an elementary report paper. One is better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's and looking at the books they offer in their store or going to your local library.
The wording of my claim was as follows:
The content of the purchased plans are not original plans by the seller and have
no substantial information for my use. Shed plans that were purchased from
MyShedPlans.com via PayPal have been personally acquired for free by various
public university websites prior to the disputed transaction. MyShedPlans.com
does not offer original plans, but profits on selling intellectual property of
public universities and other sources of information from an old database. I am
requesting a full refund from MyShedPlans.com. |
