Alterted Mortgage Contract with no notice

My mortgage started at Countrywide who "sold the contract to HomeEq who "sold it to Ocwen and this is where my troubles started! I was not give notice of the sell; Ocwen put me in an Escrow account that I had never agreed to and without notice. It has never been part of the original contract. I was not aware that this can be legally done by a "debt Collector" as they describe themselves.

They will not remove me from the Escrow even though I have repaid them for prematurally paying my property taxes without notice. They will not respond to my attempts to reach them. They did not and have not sent the interest piad notices for income tax reporting purposes. In the few times I have been able to speak with someone at Ocwen, they have lied or at the very least, mislead inentionally.

Help! my mortgage payments have gone from the $734/mo that I agreed to in the contract to $984/mo. This is a 30-fixed mortgage signed with Counrywide in 2000. Is this legal? If not, what can I do? Thank you so much.
