They damage yoyr computer and take no responsibility!!!!!!
8th of Jun, 2011 by ricktravis
In February 2011 I contracted with an organization named PC Care 247 because my computer contracted a couple of viruses. I was first given the impression that they were Toshiba representatives actually working for Toshiba. The salesman attempted to sell me a $500 package and only after lengthy discussion and many promises was I offered a package for $149 which I, unfortunately, accepted. The first technician was seemingly able to remove the viruses but the next day I had the same problem again. The second contact did not go as well. The technician, who spoke broken English was barely comprehensible, was unwilling to listen to me as I tried to explain what had been done in the past. Instead he went full speed ahead with his own agenda. After many hours with no success and my computer in much worse shape than when he started, not unable to even boot up (start up was not a problem when he started) the technician asked me to hold on while I research out some information for windows vista. Since I am not now nor did I ever use Windows Vista and my Computer was using Windows 7, I knew I was in serious trouble. Now I had a computer that wouldnt even start up, a useless piece of hardware. The technicians name is Mark Bhatia although its hard to know if that is accurate because they all have business names [Anglo names] and its sometimes difficult to find out their real names.
In any case, I was promised , by Mr. Bhatia that my computer would be fixed by any means necessary. I made several calls to Mr. Bhatia until his empty promises led me to demand to speak with his supervisor and I was connected to Mr. Varun Gupta. I know that this his correct name because his email address is [email protected]. I was also in touch with manager David Lyord, Praveen Yadav, Avatar Fings, Vikas Agrawal, and Anuj Agrawal. Varun Gupta, who is now apparently a manager, indicating that he was the one ultimately responsible for dealing with me. [ all of their e mail addresses are first name.last name @pccare247.com]
Mr. Gupta determined that the problem could not be fixed remotely so he suggested that I bring my computer to a local technician and he assured me many times over that PC Care 247 would reimburse me for all charges. He indicated that PC Care would be responsible for a new Windows 7 CD and its installation, data recovery, a new hard drive plus installation, an external hard drive for back up and data recovery. I followed Mr. Guptas direction and I contacted a local technician. The technician and I spoke directly with Mr. Gupta. We all reviewed the work that was to be conducted and the anticipated cost of the work. I sent Mr. Gupta a copy of the estimate and he authorized the expenditure of $708.65. The local technician worked on the computer, performed all the authorized tasks and charged me $805.29 adding $90 to the original estimate for the additional time that it took for data recovery. The local technician indicated that hes never come across such a bungled software job, a total mess. At Mr. Guptas request a copy of the final receipt for $805.29 was sent to him. That was on April 6, 2011. I have been calling PCcare247 regularly since then and it is clear that Mr. Gupta has been dodging my calls. I also have spoken with other supervisors including Praveen Yadav and Avatar Fings, both promising that they would get back to me and resolve the issue and both promising that Mr. Guptas promises for full reimbursement would be kept. I finally connected with Mr. Gupta on 5/11when he sent me the following e-mail:
Sir,

Please find below bifurcation for total amount reimbursement being sanctioned by PC Care Finance department.
Windows 7 Home Premium Installation and Activation - $210
Data Back Up - $90
250 GB Hard Drive - $69
Visiting Charges - $160
-----
$529
Please Note, your subscription amount, ie, $139.95 will be adjusted in the total amount of $529 and will be returned back on the Card which was charged at point of sales.
And remaining amount of $389.05 will be issued back by a cheque and send it to you through post.
Thanks
Varun Gupta

Clearly this proposal contradicted the agreement that he had made with me, even the preauthorized spending he made with my local technician for the estimated cost. I of course, indicated that this proposal is not acceptable and I expect that our original agreement is not to be broken. As of this moment the issue that has been going on over two months is not resolved. When I refused to accept their broken promise I was told that they will now pay nothing and only reimburse my original subscription cost. I now believe that that was always their only intent. The people that made this decision are Vikas Agrawal and Anuj Agrawal who are the heads of the company. They will not speak with anyone on the phone but they can be reached at [email protected] and [email protected] . However, dont expect a response, they dont have the decency to respond.
PCCARE247 has demonstrated and continues to demonstrate unsavory business practices, continuous lies and deceptions, unskilled and inadequate technical capability and absolutely no commitment to customer support and service. Because the company is in India they can do whatever they want, take your money, make ridiculous errors that ruin your equipment and take no responsibility. This company should be put out of business and no one should ever put their trust in their hands. They will destroy your equipment and leave you hanging.

I thought I was talking to Norton customer service and that pc care was associated with norton products. The reason I called Norton was because I was being double charged on my visa. So, I googled norton and found their phone number online. It was 1855- 556-8486. I thought I was talking to Norton. I asked him if it was Norton I was talking to and he said that I was talking to Norton's tech support pc care. Then, he started saying to me that I have two norton products on my account and they are not working properly on my computer as they are collapsing into each other. Then, he started running some kind of program on my computer remotely. He said that the internet security on my computer has been compromised. He offered to fix my computer for a one-time fee of $199. He would create a restore point, install malware and super anti spam software. He would also install tune up utilities 2012. I was a happy customer until today. I have not used my laptop for one week now. Last time I used my laptop, I was downloading pictures from my camera. Anyway, today when I tried to start my Internet, it said I have limited internet connectivity. So, I decided to turn off my computer and then start it again. But now, I have a bigger problem because now my windows is NOT starting up. It seems I am having similar problem like you. Is PC CARE a scam? They want another $199. to fix the problem!!!
