Pop's Pavement Co. Pop's rip me off for $6,000, by incorrectly paving my drive way Bessemer, Alabama

Pop's construction and pavement comapny came to my house late one evening claim that they was doing a job in the area and they had extra supplies on the truck and needed to get rid of it. They started that evening to get the extra off of the truck to return the next day to finish the job. They charge me$6050.00 to complete the job.They did not do what they were suppose to do and the pavement is nowcracking, and grass is growing througth paving. I called him and he came back and made it worse than it was from the beginning. I called him again and told me that he was sick and did not want to be aggravited. He hasyet to call back to come and the correct the job. We have not heard anything since then. This work was done in June 2010 and now thisis December 2010 and we have a one year guarentee.

We were also scammed by a company from Bessemer Al. They arrived at our home and told us they had extra left over asphalt from another job and could give us a good price to do the work. We agreed on a price of 1500.00, they immediately showed up for work within an hour and started work. They put down a layer thin in some areas and maybe 3 inches in some. One place shows a root growing in it. This asphalt is just recycled asphalt ground up. After about 3 hours he came into our home and brought a so called contract and the bill was 4000.00. We gave him the check stupidly and he immediately left and went to the bank and cashed our check. We never saw this man again. We feel so stupid . We are elderly and had no idea people went around scamming people. Now we are left with a crumbling driveway that they sprayed with diesel fuel to make it look good, now we get to walk on and smell this awful diesel fuel forever. We were scammed and I hate to see how easily they con people.
