Rate My Horse Pro is the self proclaimed watchdog for the equestrian community. The problem is they are nothing more than an internet tabloid that attempts to destroy people's lives over nothing more than a personal vendetta. They claim to be a place that you can `rate' equestrian professionals for the sum of $5 but the truth is that anybody is fair game, regardless of your professional or amateur stats.. Also, if they don't like what you say or how you rate somebody, their terms of use state that they will deleted your ratings and keep your money.
The owner of RMHP, Debbie Goad Hanson, operates under the alias of Lucia Carroll and creeps around the internet looking for the next `big thing' to hitch her publicity wagon to. All the better if she can skew the facts to create a scandal. If she or one of her pals, don't like you she will trump up lies and half truths and post them as fact. Hanson also uses more than one facebook and internet account to bump up her ratings.
Hanson, caused damage, pain and suffering to an amateur horseman in New York that suffered and unimagineable tragedy in the name of ratings and out of vengence for her friend, Michele DeVinney Schmoll, hurt feelings. Partnered with another organization that is not what they would have you believe, Netposse, this pit of vipers make money and ratings on the misfortune of others. They don't even have the fortitude to identify themselves when calling for information and are very selective on who they get their information from and what they choose to report. This results in them posting outright lies and they refuse any attempts at setting the record straight.
Anybody that has any dealings with this website or women, need to think twice. They basically blackmail horse people into paying their fee to even read their own ratings and encourage others to pay up and rate, so that they wont' fall into the crosshairs of RMHP and get a bunch of negative publicity. The horse communtiy needs to weed out this bad apple and refuse to be blackmailed for ratings any longer... |

| I'm sorry if somebody is so consumed with their guilt that they attempted suicide. That is never a solution to anything. However, opinions are not illegal and neither is posting the truth. The tragedy that Mr. Neff has suffered is far worse than whatever it was MIchele thought she was going through. I guess we all have our limits. Sadly, the fact of how this has affected one of the players, does not change what was done to Mr. Neff nor the lies that were told about him. |

| @FYI... I think it's very sad that you feel the need to fabricate another story for drama...none of us who are posting on this page are "heartless souls". None of Lelandsfriends would ever do anything to place harm on anyone...or towards anything...but unlike the person behind the RATE MY HORSE PRO site whom sees fit to trash a well known artist like Leland Neff. I guess making up another lie to prevent people from posting the truth about the RMHP site isn't out of the question... |

I am sorry that Michele felt the need to try to commit suicide...only someone who is very low spiritually and depressed will do this.
I am only so very thankfull that Leland has been a strong enough person to not succumb to the name-calling and bullying that he has been put through by RMHP and NETPOSSE.com and their cohorts... and stand behind anything that I have said either here or on other forums... as "they" say i am only using my right to free speech

I agree that people need to lower the rhetoric, stop all name-calling and stick to facts. There are too many people who have been hurt by this most unfortunate situation. Some not realizing where their actions might end up. Others who were innocent and became the butt of the most vicious statements. People are not meant to have to endure these kinds of assaults on their lives, privacy and integrity - and the harm done to them is very real.
I hope Michele recovers quickly, gains some peace of mind and gets on with her life and goes back to living in a positive world, which it will take everyone working together to re-create.
Not only the horses were lost because of human failings and intentional actions, but people have also been severely harmed as well.
None of it should have happened. |

I find it hard to believe you call yourself time to stop. When you go on to continue this by saying "human failings"? This horrific flood was one that no one predicted to hit this area. Also a flood of this magnitude had not been seen for over 500 years, and no documentation has ever been found to prove that it has. So to say human failings is only meant to incense. Was that you were hoping to do? Just wondering?
Intentional actions? This is just another way to go on and continue this.
How are the other organizations that are involved in this not responsible for pain and suffering all the way around?

| I suspect this drama is being manufactured in order for the bullies to cry that they are being bullied. Its ok to start a smear campaign against Leland but when people voice their objections to loudly they pretend that they are the ones being unfairly attacked. I haven't seen anyone mentioned in the above scam complaint show the least bit of concern that they were hurting someone like Leland who had just been through a horrible tragedy, but now they will expect to be able to cry foul when they are criticized. |

Dear Chipmunk, I don't think I was referring to the flood but to the human actions that helped promote the loss of the horses - some of those actions were to intentionally block the access to the acreage on the high ground (this intentional blocking still continues today, with threats of violence added on). These were actions that preceded the flood and continue after the flood. Then there were the human actions after the flood to single out and defame Mr. Neff for losing his horses to the flood. Added on to that were the many destructive statements made accusing him of all kinds of things that had no basis in fact.
Why this goes on? I am afraid that until there are definite signs that the harassment, slander, interference, etc. has stopped and new neighborhood interactions are evident (no more: we are going to block you, we are going to drive you out, we don't want you outsiders living here, etc.), new ways of community interaction, and some realization that people simply cannot act the way they have in this situation - so people stop getting hurt and no more innocent animals die needlessly (as the result of the human actions - NOT because of the flood), things will go on until either people get the situation resolved or the courts resolve it. I tried to stop it months ago, but the situation seems to have its own momentum, because the inherent problems have NOT been resolved. It's a seriously unfortunate situation. |

Here is the big difference I see... Mr. Neff, through no fault of his own lost his beloved family. That was bad enough. Then, the very people that pretended to help him and lead the charge in defaming and bullying him so that it has greatly interfered with his ability to support himself. It has also interfered with his even doing something so simple as trying to go into a local store. All due to the slander, lies and campaign that they waged against him. THAT is bullying.
Michele, whichever one it is, through her own actions attempted to harm herself. Nobody did that to her, nobody forced her to do that. The only thing that happened, was she got named and shamed for her part in the persecution of Mr. Neff. She turned on him and fed him to the wolves out of her own free will. Nobody forced her to do that either. She made the conscious decision to do all of these things.
The way I see it, Mr. Neff had no choice in the things that have happened to him since that fateful day. Michele seems to have always been the captain of her own fate. I wish her no personal injury or harm, but even if it is true she has tried to harm herself, that does not absolve her from her part in what has been done to Mr. Neff.
Exposing the truth and naming names is neither bullying nor is it illegal. Especially when you have documentation and evidence to back things up. It is unfortunate that things have gone this far, but Mr. Neff's pain and suffering continues due to the actions of others, which he had no control over at any point. |

| The Rocket Scientist behind Rate My Horse Pro should write an article explaining why she fabricated a story about Leland Neff...does it make you feel important to have a famous name on your web page? Do you like the way you feel about yourself when you wake up in the morning knowing you are continuing to throw salt on someone who has a eternal wound? If "you" the person responsible for the Leland Neff story on Rate My Horse Pro could grasp even a small percentage of the devastating loss this wonderful man has and is and will be dealing with for the rest of his life you would remove the Hollywood movie script that you say you "stand behind" . |

Michele was posting on her pal's facebook page and her own as of 5:55PM on Tuesday and her Hampton Road Horse Community Page as of yesterday. Pretty low to use suicide as an attempt to deflect what she and her buddy Debbie Hanson have done...Wow. |

| For the Woman behind the Rate My Horse Pro site to lie and say "she's on suicide watch" is really desperate...then to lie more about it today after you were clearly caught in a lie is almost funny. Maybe you can remove the bogus article you fabricated about Leland Neff on the RMHP site? wouldn't that be a better solution then trying to tell people you're trying to commit suicide? Oh maybe that can be a story on your Rate My Horse Pro website..."Woman behind RMHP tries to commit suicide" because she's been caught in a huge lie...really do you think the people who know Leland are going to allow you or anyone to trash his name? | Wow I have never seen such childish people in my life. I am not for either side but Mr. Neff should be embarressed to have you people speaking for him. I think this has really gone too far and needs to stop. No one is going to change their mind about this issue no matter how hard you try. It was a sad situation and 22 horses were lost we don't need any human lives lost. Suicide is not a laughing matter and please do not turn it into a joke. |

The same Michele Ingles that said things about Mr. Neff like; `I'd like to put his ass in a deep freez (sic)', `The ones he kept were healthier than the 22 who were too weak to survive cause they were alreadt sick!' and various outbursts and threats all over the internet? I don't recall ever seeing her bullied, but rather she was doing the bullying. Again, something she had a choice to do or not do.
I think blaming her emotional issues on anybody to do with Mr. Neff is beyond lame. She has posted on numerous websites about living in a `Congregate Home' to help her live a drug and alcohol free life? The same one that has admitted to having `plenty of therapy' and `mental hospital visits'? It is unfortunate she has tried to make this horrific tragedy all about her, but it is not and never has been. She has clearly had mental health issues for a very long time and her good friends, that she was living with, should have discouraged her from doing their dirty work. |

One can only wish Michele Ingles a good and sound recovery.
Yes, I have wondered why she got involved and made all those statements, some of which were pretty toxic, since she really had no association with the situation. It seemed fairly questionable.
She has not been the butt of comments, despite her statements, so no one has trashed her in the comments. One has pretty much let her go her way, not understanding what motivated her.
Nevertheless, she needs our good wishes and support, which is the only right thing to do, and our prayers.
We are there for you, Michele,

Farmgirl, no one is here for "changing minds".
We are here because we want to clear Lelands name from RMHP-NETPOSSE's lies and for them to retract their false articles/postings.
We are here to show the truth and the real facts.
Of course the "other side" is trying to stop us from doing so. And very desperatly so.
And I'm sure, speaking for Leland, he is very happy with his friends who are standing with him, in this horrible fight against injustice. |
