I am an experienced entrepreneur, franchise owner, and franchise area developer of 20+ years. In our experience, dealing with Mr. Zarco, alleged franchise attorney, he proved to be highly skilled at double talk. He always demonstrates a type "A' personality and gigantic ego that he uses effectively when recruiting a new client like ourselves. Unfortunately for us, he consistently, and professionally, was almost totally unprepared and would often literally "wing" useless rhetoric at depositions and interviews, while attempting to represent our company. Further, in our experience he was difficult to reach many times and unresponsive to important requests regarding our case. Further, he was diligent in collecting his retainers and regularly threatened, or had his associates, threaten us to quite the case when if he wasn't paid on time. Additionally, he talked a tough game, he is very convincing one on one, but, when it comes down to serious legal discussions with opposing attorney's, he would often back down and cower like a kitten. In my opinion as President of the company at that time, there exists numerous better choices of franchise attorney's who are significantly more competent than Mr. Zarco, we made a huge error hiring him. In the past several years its been told by others attending franchise industry trade shows that they too had the same level of negative results and poor legal representation. Interestingly Mr. Zarco recently appeared on a TV Show called "How Did I Get So Rich", well we certainly know the answer to that question in part because Mr. Zarco made off with over $100,000 of our money knowing by that time we didn't have the resources to go after him to collect it back. In my personal experience and in my opinion, Mr. Zarco is one of the least qualified franchise attorney's in the practice of any law. An awful waste of money I believe. |
