| RWI / R&O Transportation is another company using unethical employment practices. I was hired by RWI Transportation and required to sign a negotiation letter stating that I would not bring with me any information or customers from any previos employer. I signed the negotiation letter which included salary, commissions and paid time off and returned it to my manager and HR. Upon my very first day working at RWI my manger asked me to start contacting my former employers customers and bring on freight. After a couple of weeks I found that this was the normal practices for thi company. They interview and hired people with close logistic ties to shippers and other 3PL Companies in order to steal the freight from the employees former company. After RWI Transportation has sourced all your customers including contacts they let you go. RWI Transportation Aurora, CO opened in April 2010 and within not even 1 year had hired and let go 8 employees. Salary / Commissions, When hired by RWI Transportation in my negotiation letter it was stated and agreed to that 1) I would receive quarterly commissions based on the total office revenue. 2) It was stated and agreed to that after 60 day's my salary wages would be increases if the goals set by the negotiations weremet or exceeded. 3) It was stated and accepted that I would receive 5 personal / sick day's per year eligible after 30 day's. 4) It was stated and accepted that I would receive 2 weeks vacation for the first 8 years and 3 weeks there after Eventhough my set goals were well exceeded and many conversations with my manager regarding the commissions negotiations and speaking to the so called HR manager, which is another story, I never fully received the commissions stated in the negotiations letter. Finally after 90 days, 30 days after the agreed to salary increase, I went to my manager and asked him what was going on with it. To my surprise he acted like he did not know anything about it. I had to have him pull out the negotiations letter and point it out to him. By this time after the whole previous employer customer deal, still no payment for commissions and no salary increase I was frustrated. A week later with still no resolution and conversations with a closed door HR manager our office was told that we would only get 1 vacation day a year and we would have to work weekend and more hours during the week with no additional compensations. Bottom line DO NOT sing on with RWI Transportation they are only hiring you to get your cutover base then they will let you go. Customers, If you are a customer of RWI Transportation R & O Transportation a Castillini company I would highly encourage you to find another Logistics provider with real honest busness practice and integrity. While working with RWI Transportation to my astonishment I found that RWI takes part of any driver detention time instead of paying the driver. The will charge the cust |

| I'm examining this company for a job offer, and although much of what you say is cause for concern, you should have signed a non-compete before accepting the position. Also, the practice of keeping a portion of detention is common in both the freight brokerage industry as well as the capacity- haulers industry. The company that a driver or contractor carrier is leased to also has a fiscal stake in any layovers or detention, as there are many problems for the logistics coordinators that are caused be detention situations. Missed appointments, drivers running out of hours, etc- can all caused extra expenses on the office end of the move, therefore, this is cause for compensation for the company as well as the driver. |

| internally these guys talk a great game, the truth is; there is more deception to include phones being tapped, yes they made unauthorized phone taps on people to obtain information and it backfired on them. you have felons working in management role, you also have a management group on a daily basis who practices racists remarks, condescending towards drivers and customers.The in fighting between the groups is enough to make you sick, as a seasoned manager, I was duped into their process. Every brokerage office operates like a merry go round and dont forget the promises they make! This company has leaned on Castellini to get in the door, when the the truth be known this company is nothing more than mid size trucking company at best wanting to play a major league ball. As you can see with their interview process you will hear the words you were selected selected out of 300 applicants, you are the best!. They fail miserably in laying foundation with quality people who are the key to their success. There are several brokerages who operate in the same manner none as stark as RWI Transportation. If you think about it, management hired more than 15 people in brokerage in the last 90 days and let go about the same amount of qualified people in the prior 90 days and you thought driver retention was bad!! |

The entire company is ran by a over-reaching, overly aggressive, power hungry HR director and a few sidekicks. The company is ran as a dictatorship. The employees concerns, issues, and some very serious ones go unresolved. Heartless group of people. The President is routinely left out of the mix and not privy to much of what goes on.
The only people that are happy are the directors. Daily you see politics at work. They are able to piss on the salespeople below them in order to gain business. Routinely the Director of Sales and Marketing was able to take accounts from salespeople. It was either taking the salesperson to long to close the deal or for the mere fact this particular director wanted the account in order to put more money in his own pocket. This individual is paid on what he brings in. He handles the sales lead system for the entire company and can routinely take leads from fellow salespeople. Talking about a conflict of interest. Handles the sales lead system and can manipulate any way he sees fit.
If you decide to leave RWI be very cautious because they will find a way to sue you. They are sue happy and proud to intimidate employees by flexing their legal muscles. RWI would boast about having limitless amounts of legal support and would find a way to take the employee for all they were worth if they decided to leave or cross them.
There is also other major issues that I am not at liberty to speak about.
The turnover rate is high, very high!!
Intimidation tactics, hostile workplace, and employees treated as 2nd class citizens is too much for any normal person to bare. There is many, many more former and current employees that are in the same boat and need to stand up.
Never, ever waste your time with RWI Transportation and Logistics in Wilder, KY or any of their outside offices.
You will never hear of RWI receiving any type of citizenship award or any award for that matter.
They are a joke, period... |
