i purchased a google android through Sears.com as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Unknown to me, Sears sold my order to a 3rd party company. When the order arrived, the box was damaged, unwrapped/sealed and when I opened it parts were missing, there was no paperwork in the box, no manual or anything. I immediately emailed Sears about this and they repeatedly would not do anything other than tell me to contact SurprisingGift.com which is who they sold my order to. If I would have known Sears does this or was going to sell my order to another company, I would have never purchased this through Sears, EVER. Through many emails, I got nowhere with Sears. After Christmas, we couldn't figure the device out without a manual and took it directly into the Sears store. The managers came and they contacted Sears.com. Sears.com said they could do nothing because they sold my order, however Sears did take my money, charged my Sears charge card and doubled the price they purchased it for, but won't get involved!?!?! All Sears will say or do is tell me to contact SurprisingGift.com. I then called the Sears Exec. Customer Service line and explained the situation. She asked if I contacted SurprisingGift.com, I told her that I purchased this from Sears and I honestly believed that Sears needed to do something. Before I could get that out, I heard "hold music" the service agent had put my call on hold for someone else to answer my call. The next operator couldn't tell me a name of the previous person. I did wind up calling SurprisingGift.com and got a recorded message to leave a message. Then it proceeded to tell me that the message device was full and I cannot leave one. Here I am, with a $230.00 charge on my Sears card, a device that we cannot operate without the proper parts and manuals, yet I cannot return it because Sears will not get involved and the other company is bogus in my estimation. This was a total scam. Totally dishonest, unprofessionaland unethical business practice on behalf of Sears and this other company, well, who knows if it even really exists. DO NOT buy from Sears and DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS.COM
