The scam has not changed in years. You're led on by members that either you tried to contact or that have initially contacted you. After a string ofone sentence Q&A emails designed to keep your interest, you're set up for the "meet" with the member. Then you never hear from them again. You can see the similar writing styles from the "members" that contact you from nearby cities, as if they're all working off the same script. The only time you get to meet a real person is if you happen to get an instant message answered from another real member (which is extremely rare although I did experience it once over the year that I was a member). Stay away from this site and it's affiliates. It's all bullsh*t, and as you can see from other reports, it's been going on for at least 6 years.
