TekCollect Beware of employment scams! Columbus, Ohio

I accepted a job with this company in February 2013. During the interview process they claimed that the training was an "Earn as You Learn" program where during your first two weeks of employment you would work with a manager and split commissions with that person as you learn the business. For this and the sales materials they required $395 up front before you start training. I paid the $395 to Susan Tankersly of TekCollect who was to be my manager and trainer. During the first two weeks of the "Earn As You Learn" training program which she bragged about in the interview process I spent a total of 4 hours with a manager! The rest of the time I was giving a list of companies to contact by phone but was provided absolutly no training and certainly no earnings! I told Susan Tankersly that this was not what was promised in the interview process and informed her that I would be returning the sales materials and that I wanted a refund. On February 18th I returned the sales materials to their corporate office in Columbus Ohio. They were sent by FedEx and received by TekCollect on February 20th. To this date I have received no refund nor any communication from the company. When I did contact Susan Tankersly about my intentions she did tell me who to contact to send the materials back but informed me that she had already ordered business cards. I received a total of 25 business cards! What a joke! So if you are considering employment with this company do yourself a favor and run away fast! They just want to fill you with false promises and run away with your $395! I have decided to put this on Ripoff Report in the hopes the company will do the right thing. If not I will be pursuing legal action against them.
