17th of Aug, 2011 by User319547
On 9/14/11 I was looking at the free ecards to send our son on his birthday, I scrolled down the page, and saw the singing ecards, I chose one, and filled it out, then the price pops up! I went ahead with it because of all the effort put into choosing music and card, and his b-day was that day. The $9.95 was taken out immediatly, I recieved an email stating he got the card, but he never did. I will never do this again. I am very worried about my credit information I gave out. I tried to call the ph# they gave and it is bogus! I can't get an email through. I am VERY frustrated!

Response from Happybirthdaytoyou.com.

Our phone numbers are not bogus. There is a toll-free US number and a freephone UK number and a general phone number that can be called from anywhere in the world. Please ensure that you have dialled appropriately.
In addition to that, you have the full postal address of our business, and email addresses for several departments. Please contact us, preferably at [email protected]

We do not advertise as free. We provide individually-recorded personalized birthday songs. Clearly this service cannot be free, and our prices are listed online.

Once you choose to make a payment, you do securely via a payment service provider. Only you and your card's issuing bank have access to your details at any point. It is therefore impossible for us to "take" your money, or to "charge" you - only you can make a payment, and like every other payment you make, it is instant when you do so. With respect, you should always ensure before making payment online that your payment is secure, rather than worry about it later!

When you receive an email stating that the greeting has been delivered to the recipient, this means that it has been delivered to the email address that you provided.

We have no way of knowing whether you provided the correct email address, so if you find that your recipient has not received his greeting, it is wise to check with us - or on the customer control panel to which we sent you a link - whether you gave it correctly. If you didn't, you can edit and resend free of charge, or we are happy to do that for you.

We are a reputable family-owned and run company and have been in business online for over 13 years, during which time we have been recommended as a top site by Microsoft, AOL, Google, hundreds of independent sites and reviews, magazines, and national television and radio shows in many countries. We receive spontaneous and genuine testimonials from our customers on a daily basis. We are confident enough in both our product and our service to offer a 100% money back guarantee with no conditions.

We cannot help you unless you choose to let us know that you have a problem. Please do so.
