If you think you have seen the worst trucking company, don't beleive it. Transcarriers beats all others.From the very start in orientation, they tell you how great Transcarriers is and how they take care of their drivers.
From the so called safety department to the Human resources people. The safety man brags about his driving record of 18 years, what a joke. He drove as a local driver for the Great Pumpkin company, never once did her ever do any long haul. And the logbook part, that has to be the biggest joke of all. Myself and other drivers and dropped complete loads off of our logbooks and never once did we ever get caught. That shows you how much attention they pay to detail.
Payroll, now those are people who don't pay you for everything you have done while on the road, be it layover pay, detention pay or extra pay, they refer you back to dispatch, who swears they turned in all extra pay for you.And the layover pay LMAO.....,Of course most drivers know that you must be sitting still and not under a load for 24 hours before you can collect any layover pay. Heres what happens at Transcarriers. They will have you sit for 20 to 21 hours, then tell you they have a load for you 75 miles up the road, then when you drive those 75 or so miles to get that load, they tell you things have changed and there you sit again, making no money and getting no layover pay.
Now if you happen to be at the terminal and have no load, they will offer you some local work, which is usually only 20 miles or so, you get paid mileage, unlike the regular local drivers who get $15.00 an hour. If you refuse the local work, you will be left sitting at the terminal for a long time.
Hometime......good luck. We all know how that works. it works to Transcarriers advantage, not yours, you will get home when they feel like getting you home.
Dispatch......a couple of those guys I feel sorry for, they are forced to do things they would not accept themselves. They rest are a bunch of liars, thats the way Transcarries wants them to be. The more they lie, the better they can kiss A**.
Truck repairs...one good mechanic, the rest, I wouldn't let them wipe my A**.
To sum it all up...Liars...Liars...Liars. Drivers looking for a job, go somewhere else, These people are the worst you will ever see. PS....You may wonder why the owner of the company also has a Peterbilt dealership? I think you can figure this one out on your own. Good luck in your search for a good driving job.
