Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence took my money and never sent the items I ordered for myself and my family to celebrate my daughter's academ

In May 2009 The Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence informed me by mail that my daughter's name was submitted to be a part of their annual publication. I began to call various teachers and her English Junior High School teacher advised me that she did submit her name to the registry.

I began to follow the directions in the letter such as submitting a photo, writing a brief biography then submitting payment for various items. I would call often just to be told it should take another 8 weeks, then another 4 weeks, then ok November it should arrive with many voice mail messages left with no return phone call . Now it has been over a year going on two; the items never arrived, money has been taken from my account $270.00 (the same month they asked for it) and the so-called company's telephone number is now a telephone relay service.

All of this for me to google the name of the company to find out by this site I have been ripped off. I will not let this rest, I must get justice. I look forward to working with anyone to find the perpetrators.

I did exactly the same thing. I received letters for both my son and daughter. I paid $238 for both of them to be in this registry, "Who's Who Registry of Academic Excellence located in Washington, D.C.--publisher Cheryl A. Kommer. I called the number-202-470-6246. I also encountered a relay service--I have left several messages--she still works there because the relay service operator informed me Kommor is still listed in the directory--otherwise she wouldn't take a message. I would love to persue this criminally plus I would love to get my money back. It's weird because the previous year, I actually received the book for my son. It's the only reason I did it again--I thought it was legitimate. Anyone have ideas on how to pursue this further??? Dawn--Glen Burnie, Maryland.
