1 And Internet
1 And 1 Internet, Inc. extortion while transfering domains Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania
4th of Jun, 2011 by User293267
I purchased a Domain (PHARMAWRAPS.COM)from 1and1.com under a promotion where the domain was free of cost. a week before my domain was suppose to expire my emails stopped working and I contacted 1and1 support where I was informed by the billing that there was a billing issue and the account is under deletion. I asked if there is any money which needs to be paid to fix the issue and was again informed that the account has been written off and I can transfer the domain and tech support will help me with the transfer codes. with repated calls and being trabnsfered from 1 department to another I am writing in vein now. I paid Godaddy on June 3rd 2011 to tranfer the domain and now 1and1.com told me to PAY $40 FOR SOME REDEMPTION. (http://faq.1and1.com/domains/domain_admin/2.html). When I called them in time before the expiration and was given a runaround and now they are asking for money which is extortion. Today I was on he phone for 45 minutes and the rep was rude and mocking me. the ID for the conversation today is: 227757529
