The 45-minute presentation consisted a few informational slides, including a CNN Money report (supposedly) showing that the median income for recruiters was $77,000. They told us that they would send us job boards, then we would cut and paste and advertise for the position. The job involved recruiting others to work for various companies. They would then tell us that they could only accept 40 new people. We were directed to "joinara.com", where we were given 2 payment options beginning at $317. Several minutes passed while people allegedly signed up and the number of people able to begin tomorrow ticked down. During the live chat, I typed in "why does your company have 2 different names (Americans Recruiting Association and Ten Star Recruiting)? My question did not appear on the board. Someone was obviously editing the chat, if it was being received at all. The whole thing just seems very fishy to me. They made it sound so easy and so lucrative. In other words, too good to be true. Has anyone else dealt with them?

I just sat and listened to the whole BS presentation. It just sounded too good to be true. I noticed that they did not list any real information about themselves as a company and when I asked them about it, I never saw my question posted, much less commented on. They show a generic CNNMoney advertisement about the recruiting business in general, not about the company specifically. But because so many people are desperate (like myself) for a job, I almost went against my better instinct and used my last money to get it. That's a shame that they do this to people in this economy! Who knows what sacrifices that a person has to do in order to sign up and believe they have a legitimate job? DO NOT believe in the hype!!!

It is companies like this that make us wonder if your up to something. What happened to treat people like you want to be treated? What happened to honesty? So sad!

did anybody 25 from last weeks overview that accepted the job and paid 400 actually receive any actual follow up or jobs ??? I am curious 25 x 400 = 10000, that not a bad days pay for an hour, I've heard after paying you never hear from them again. let me know if anyone had success

did anyone from last weeks presentation get any follow up after spending 400 for a sign up and 20 buck for overnight shipping to "them", which was from 25 people that amounted to about 10000 dollars which is not a bad night take for an hour of work.
I've heard no one ever hears from them again. is this true

did anyone have success????

Same thing. This is an old scam that is now on the web instead of behind a phony store front. They are unscrupulous preditors on people who are desperate for employment. Take it from an old dog who has learned new tricks from various and assorted trips around the block. Caveot empor; Or however you spell it.

A legit company. Fee is one time only. No other hidden fees. On line support is handled very efficiently and professionally. I have been using this for over two weeks now. Complaints were handled effectively. Every one is responsive and they have qualified people staffing the real time support lines. They help you to do your work with helpful advice. Training manual is old however and lots of it may not apply.

I sat for over 2 hours staring at their blank "conference room" screen. When I was first connected there were 50 participants. Little by little it went down to 5. I kept e-mailing them to ask if there was some type of problem getting the webinar to work...no reply. I then called one of the number I found on one of the emails I received and got a recording"...due to the high volume of calls your wait could be 47 minutes...please leave a message..." My message was "since I had time while I was waiting for whatever it was suppose to be that I was sitting there waiting for, I was able to research their company. Found out all kinds of scam claims and now I'll be making calls to the powers that be." BOOM...My webinar page went down!!
What is the matter with these people??? I'm also sending them all an email but I'm sure they've already heard it all.

I signed up this past Thursday 03/15/2012. I paid half the fee for the membership. Most likely should no thave paid any at all. I "attempted" to research the company on line after the webinar. Not much of what I would consider research prior to the webinar. Americas Recruiting Association was founded by recruiters. Red flags to consider was there was no company history as to when it was founded, the philosophy it was founded on, no mention of any of its clients. As well as I know, Americas Recruiting Association may not have broken any known laws. Until laws are passed to catch up with useage of the internet. It will be very difficult to bring legal action against anyone. The only thing that can be done for now is to warn others of SCAMS.

I too set up for the conference overview, and sat for 1.5 hours. While doing this, I found their website and this one, and consequently dropped out. My biggest complaint is that if is a business opportunity, it should be posted as such (not as a job opening).

I just listened to the presentation for a while yesterday. It started with about 250 people then went down as the presentation went on. It does sound really good and to good to be true sometimes we become so desperate to have income we do almost anything. I was able to get the web page sign up and get a user name as well as a password then able to go to first time support which takes you to watch a video. I am going to follow up on it and see how much further I can go and report back.

did anyone really sign up or are you guys just going by assumption because some companies do charge you like security, they make you pay for your s.o.r.a, it just seems like people are mad or hating yet haven't actually done nothing, you felt red flags and knew it was fake? well Mc Donalds had many red flags with their food like their chicken and how horrible they are treated yet no one says they are fake, so in the chance this is new and may be something for people, has anyone had real proof of them scamming or are you guys just assuming? and for the guy that paid instead of say how can you get your money back, wouldn't you be the perfect candidate to test this out? and for the guy who said he has tried this and had 2 assignments in 2wks, you have a simple name, how do we know your real and not company made up or just paid to say this? can we have some proof you exist and are legit. see I am not closed minded nor gullible so I look for proof in the pudding and no one has produced it, against or for the company, just a whole bunch of accusations and minor reports on if they are legit or not, so can we have someone who is legit that can produce some real results incase it is real or fake, no one loses or loses out.

I just received a TEXT MESSAGE saying that they e-mailed me and that I should sign-up for an interview on that staffinglab website. I am unclear how they received my phone number but I like to investigate first--glad I did!!

Sat through the presentation, very sad how people were being robbed in from of my face. I was curious and I figure while Iam cooking lunch lets hear what they offer. I was waiting for the so called fee. No company hires people without proper interviewing and puts there reputation on the line. I feel very sad for those who got scammed. They will enventually get busted sooner or later. Greed takes over and they will screw up somewhere and get caught.

I actually got a call right before getting the email, but couldn't pick up, so the tag of "I tried to call you" seemed slightly legit, good thing I investigate all calls before answering as the call actually came from one of those "you've won a cruise, we just need your bank account info" auto-dials. But it's Important to say in caps IT IS ILLEGAL FOR RECRUITERS TO TAKE MONEY FROM RECRUITS. RECRUITERS ARE PAID BY THE COMPANY, NOT THE EMPLOYEE!!! so that people still on the fence know what's up
